Mrs. Lowery is an indelible part of my childhood memories. Candace & I played together from the first grade into elementary school; my sister, Susan, and Tammy often made us a fun foursome. I adore and love Candace & Tammy, and Mr. Lowery always brings to mind a warm hug and laughing, kind smile. Mrs. Lowery's audacious and infectious laugh still makes me smile & a warm hug was always there to be given. They are like family to my family, and our loss is great. The Lowerys traveled all the way to Athens to see me get married, and Mr. & Mrs. Lowery's presence there meant a great deal to me on one of the most special days of my life. I send all of my love to you Mr.Lowery, Tammy, and Candace. I think about you and your loss daily, and we are still praying for you. I love you, Mrs. Lowery; you always called me "your second Momma" when I was little; well, this member of your family misses you here with us.

Dear Charles, Tammy, and Candace,
My fondest memories of Judy were when Tammy and Russell were in the second grade square dance at Rosa Taylor. Judy and I made them matching outfits, got them together at your house and practiced with them. What fun and laughter! To be around Judy was to be surrounded by joy. We also took them to get their driver's license together since they had the same birthday. Judy and I spent such a sweet time remembering them through the years. As I sat in the church on Saturday, my thoughts were, well done my friend, well done. You lived life well and with much joy and love.
What an honor to have her as my friend. She was a blessing everywhere she went.

Dear Charles, Tammy, and Candace, I have been reading all these precious entries and I am amazed at how many people Judy blessed. She was a "one of a kind" person. She taught me that the name "Charles" could be the most precious word in the English language, and she definitely lit up when she said it. I will miss my dear friend so much. She had my back in life and in prayer....I knew she loved my family. "I thank God upon my every remembrance of you." Love, Robyn

Dear Lowery family,
My heart is broken for you over your loss. Mrs Lowery was my all time favorite teacher, and she always encouraged me to do my best and that no matter how hard something seemed I always had it within me to overcome those obstacles. She was a wonderful person who touched so many lives through teaching. I am so blessed to have been apart of that and to have known her! I have loved her all these years, and I will cherish her memory in my heart always! I will be praying that God will show you His ever present love and comfort during this difficult time.

Dear Lowery Family, I enjoyed so much knowing your mom, she always had a smile on her face when she came into the lunchroom at Tatnall. I am very thankful that she taught Rusty and Joy Lynn. She was a great teacher with a lot of love to give the kids. Prayers for your family.

Dear The Lowery family,
Since Judy was a good friend of Mrs. Karen Swann, I was teated and so nice as her " Backdoor girlfreind" by her.
Somehow I cannot for get her hug and smile, and that always reminds me what is REAL " Southern hospitality". I appreciate for " lifetime meeting " to her by God. I am praying for her and family's peace of mind.

Dear Lowery family-
We were so sad to hear of Mrs. Lowery's passing. What a dear lady! She was our daughter's favorite teacher. A tornado had come through our neighborhood the day before & we had left a phone message to say Catherine would be out of school. Mrs.Lowery didn't get the message & was worried about us as she had heard the news. She drove to our house to check on us. We have run into her over the years a restaurants & always enjoy seeing her. Catherine graduates from Ga.Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer on May 11th. I know Mrs. Lowery will be smiling.

Candace,

I'll never forget all the sleepovers at your house in high school and seeing your mom's smiling face whenever I walked through the door. She was such a vibrant lady, and her laugh was contagious. In a world of black and white, she was magenta!

I feel lucky and blessed to have known her, and I know that my life was only one of the many she touched. Please know that you, Tammy, and your dad are in my thoughts and prayers during this painful time. I hope that memories of your mom will make you smile in your darkest moments -- I know that's the way she would want it!

Sending hugs and love from an old high school friend.

Dear Charles, Tammy and Candace,
My heart goes out to you during this time. You and Judy were our first friends when we moved to Macon in 1971, she insisted on me talking to her. You let me babysit Tammy when she was first born and I enjoyed it so much. I treasure the friendship we had with you and Judy and the good times we shared, especially during the storm of '73. I will forever be thankful that she taught me how to sew many years ago. It is hard to believe this has happened so suddenly to someone as loving and giving. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you go through these days ahead.

Dearest Lowery's ,

My heart just breaks for each of you. What a precious and dear soul Judy was. I always enjoyed talking, and laughing with her when she would visit iour store. When I think of Judy, I think of her bubbliness, free spirt and love she had for everyone. It is quite obvious from all the posts that she touched so many lives, and for that we are blessed. Heaven welcomed an angel and her presence will be greatly missed by all. Holding each of you in my prayers a this time.

My heart goes out to Charles,Tammy, and Candace in the loss of Judy. Judy was my cousin and we spent a lot of time together as children. With Judy being a few years older, I can proudly say I was her first student. We played school, dolls in her fabulous playhouse and she taught me how to play board games. We saw each other every week because our Parents were very close. I can not think of my childhood with Judy being a huge part of it. My God comfort Charles, Tammy and Candace during the loss of their Wife and Mother. With Love, Patricia

Judy was a vivacious sixth grade teacher, who was beloved by her students. When reflecting on their memories of Tattnall, my seniors always speak fondly of Mrs. Lowery. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to teach with her and that my daughter Julie had her as a teacher. Not only did Judy and I share many years at Tattnall, we also shared our Christian faith. So thankful that means I will one day be reunited with my friend in heaven.

I'm so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful lady. Mrs. Lowery was a kind and gentle woman, as well as an exemplary teacher. She made learning history exciting and fun (I still remember the song she used to help us remember all the names of the US Presidents). I'm sure our Father in Heaven is rejoicing to have her home.

I have so many fond memories of Mrs. Judy- from being her teacher's aide, to beach trips, to her giving me the Bridesmaid Luncheon of my dreams. She was such a special, spunky lady. I will miss her laughter and her hugs. I was blessed to have her as a "second mama".

Dear Charles and Family, Russell and I were so very sorry to learn of Judy's recent stroke and death. We can certainly say that she was "one-of-a-kind" and in the kindest sense! What an impact she had on so many of our neices and nephews and also our greats. What love and respect they all had for her! Russell and I have always loved her gift of laughter that she shared with us and so many others. Her wit and just being herself drew many to her, us included. The line at Jeneanne's will never be the same. Due to being out-of-town, we will be unable to attend the services but please know that our heart-felt sympathy and prayers will be with you and your family. Sincerely, Russell and Patsy Fellows
