I worked at Frank as a para and Karen was always so nice and helpful to me. She was great with her students and I know they loved her. I never thought she would lose this battle as she was always couragous and had such a wonderful positve attitude every day. To go through this disease and come in everyday to teach her students with a smile on her face and a great sense of humor was a great inspiration to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
I am so sorry for your family's loss. I had Mrs. Ash for a third grade teacher years ago. She was an amazing and caring person who really made an impact on her students, and I will never forget all of the times I saw her smiling face as I passed her in the hallways at Frank. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
No words can express how bad I feel for Mark and his family. Mark and Karen went to the same high school.
I had Mrs. Ash in fourth grade at Frank. She was the best teacher ever. She would always tell me to stop making stuff from mechanical pencils, but ended up creating an award for making them at the end of the year. I am sorry for your loss. She will be very missed.
Mark, Brandon and Emily,
I still have a clear memory of when Brandon started studying guitar with me. Karen and Emily would usually sit in the room while we had the lesson. Brandon's feet barely touched the floor and Emily would sit on the floor playing with toys. That memory seems like only yesterday. Karen was always at all the lessons and concerts. It was obvious she was there for her kids. It was obvious she was a great mom. Deepest sympathy for your family.
Mark, Brandon, and Emily--we are so sad to hear about Karen. She was a good neighbor and we always love the beautiful flowers she worked so hard on every year. I know her memory will give you strength in the days ahead.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. The Saner family

I can not begin put into words how utterly sad the news of Karen's passing has made me. She was one of my best and cherished friends from K thru 12th grade and beyond. Always a true friend to be sure, she always to told it to me straight. Although I lost touch with her the last several years, I've thought of her often and will miss her greatly. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
All three of our children had Mrs. Ash — she was an amazing teacher and a constant ray of sunshine at Frank School, even during difficult times for her. She was loved by many and she will be truly missed. She touched the lives of so many, and so many are better people because of her. Our hearts and prayers are with her family.
I was truly blessed to have worked with Karen during my wonderful years at Frank Elementary. She was always so patient and had a devoted love to teaching science. Karen would smile from ear to ear while talking about her own children. I will keep Brandon, Emily, and Mark in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm friends with her daughter Emily; Mrs. Ash was so fun when I was over. She was such a wonderful mom and teacher, I've never met and probably will never meet anyone like her. Rest In Peace, Mrs. Ash, we all love you and miss you! 3 Our prayers go out to her family!
I am truly saddened by Karen's death. She was a wonderful friend to me while growing up in Bloomville. Karen was always so kind and considerate to everyone. I have many fond memories of her and the times we shared.
My deepest condolences to you Mark and your children, Mr. & Mrs. Brown, & Karen’s brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
May she rest in peace.
