Dear Judy and Family,
We are so sorry to hear about Karen. We had so much joy watching Karen, Yvonne and the rest of the Basketball team at Eldorado. May Karen Rest in Peace.
The Sanchez family in ABQ NMN
Karen was a beautiful person, terrific teammate and just someone you wanted to be around. I had the pleasure of playing High School Basketball With Karen. May you rest in peace, God has taken a terrific angel and I look forward to seeing you again!!
Karen was loved and prayed for by many. Her family in Hong Kong and Myanmar will continue to pray for you. May God comfort you and may you be sure of His accompaniment. So pleased that we will see her again and that she is currently enjoying Jesus, her earthly daddy David and Chip. Thankful we will all meet again.
And yet we will miss her so.
I am so sorry for Karen's loss. Praying that you will be comforted beyond understanding as you go forward.
(In addition to being HSU classmates, Karen and I were roommates during her time in Denton.)
Just know how much she was loved by so many and how she loved everyone in return. Thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Wanda Hiett, Albuquerque, NM
I met Karen in 1981 back in Albuquerque at Eastern Hills Baptist Church. The Darsey family took my sister Shawn and me under their wings, and I'll always be grateful for that. Karen was a year older than I, and I remember her grace, intelligence, and kindness in high school.
My heart goes out to your family with extra hugs to Karen and Brent's children. Moms are certainly special.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family all the way from Albuquerque, NM.
I did not know Karen but my family was neighbors of Brent's family for many years So very sorry for the loss of a daughter, wife, mother & friend. Brent, I know this has been a difficult time for you and your children. I wish you blessings and peace.
So sorry to hear of your loss Claire and family members. Remember, "When you lose some one you love, you gain an Angel you know."
From member of Gen. Edward Tarrant Chapter, NSUSD1812
To Judy , Karens mom. Paul and I are deeply sorry to know of your loss and we pray for you, Brent and the children. I never had the chance to meet Karen, but after reading the obituary, I wish I would have had the chance. She was a very accomplished woman ,but the most accomplishment was knowing her Lord and Savior , whom she is now in the presence of. God give you all peace and comfort in the coming days. Love and prayers from Paul and Linda Mader.
Karen was a bright light at RMS. She had a wonderful empathetic way with the kids. Personally, she was a huge help to me dealing with the with the Special Education Department at RMS. Her experience in this field was invaluable. She will be deeply missed.
Karen was a beloved daughter, wife, Mother, and friend to many. She will be missed, but we know that she is in heaven now with Jesus, and the rest of the family that has gone on before her. For that we can smile, and know that she is happy with the Lord! So sorry to all of you for your loss. Thinking and praying for each of you. Love, Shirley and John Murray, Cadiz, Ohio
So sorry to hear of Karen's passing...too young, too soon. Death leaves a heartache no on can heal, caring leaves a memory no one can steal. When someone you care for and respect becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Karen will always have a special place in our hearts.
Marcella and Christian Baccigalopi
We lift you up in prayer! You have a brave and inspirational woman in that Karen. Thinking about you all! Cori Hyatt and Family

Now i pray for you and your beloved family to have god's loving hands wrap around you.
I did not have the opportunity to meet Karen but from all accounts (especially from your Mom), you and your family were truly blessed to have her in your lives. Please know that my prayers are with you all at this most difficult time.

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I have walked in these shoes years ago and I assure you that as hard as days can seem, remember that the love that you and Karen shared will always be in your heart. Cherish the beautiful moments that you had with her and it is okay to share them with others. It keeps her spirit alive.
It is wonderful to know that you mother/wife/daughter was so beloved by so many. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Karen always had a smile on her sweet face. She and my daughter, Kristi, were together in high school as well as in the youth group at our church. Kristi has fond memories of Karen. Hopefully, she will share some of them in the guest book.
My prayers have been with the family and will continue to be as you gather the strength to go on without your loved one. She will always be with you. God bless all of you and know that you are loved by many people even ones you do not know.
Karen's faith cause her to have fought the good fight. She ran the race with perseverance that is marked out for all of us. May God comfort you in your time of need. Sleep on Karen you will be greatly missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sorrowful time. Tesa Livingston
I am keeping you all in my prayers.
To my beloved Baby Cousin (the only one younger than me!). A friend, my companion at family gatherings so long ago, a frequent smile at the memory of times gone by, and recently such a source of inspiration. I Love You and will miss you, although your presence will be felt evermore. We were so lucky to have had you, but for far too short a time. My family's prayers are with Aunt Judy, Brent and the children.
I am so incredibly sorry for your family's grief. I can only imagine this kind of loss... Karen wouldn't have known - because we've not been in touch for over 30 years - that I, too am in the cancer fraternity.
I remember her as a 12 year old in my church youth group. She and I went for a run up in the Manzano Mountains near Camp Inlow one morning. We got completely lost - for maybe an hour - until we heard in the distance from camp a recording of the trumpet call. We ran to the sound - safely back to camp.
Karen - I will meet you in heaven where we will be completely healed - we'll run again.
Well done comrade. Much love and grace to your family.
I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.
Rest in peace, Karen. Your strength, courage and positive outlook will always inspire me. My prayers are with you and your family, especially your beautiful Catherine.
I am keeping the Monteleone family in my prayers. We will miss Karen just as everyone that ever met her.
While we did not know Karen for very long, what we did know of her was her strenght, courage, devotion to family, and belief in God. She has now had all of the miracles of the universe made know to her. Brent, our prayers are with you and your family during this time of sorrow.

I will always remember walking to pick up our Kindergarten kids, Karen always smiling. My oldest son had Karen as his counselor for 6th & 7th. He said he always felt important because she always knew his name. She will always have a special place in our heart...Until We Meet Again!
There are no words that console at this time but please feel the prayers coming your way for you and your beautiful family.
The Galatas Family
May the Lord hold the Monteleone and RMS families in his mighty hands.
I will always remember the day I meet Karen walking to pick up our Kindergarten kids. Always with a smile. Having her for my sons counselor for 6th & 7th truly made the transition to middle school so much easier. She always made him feel special and listen. Until We Meet Again! <3
Praying for Karen's family. She was so warm & welcoming to us as a new family when we moved here to Kingwood. Karen was able to get my son, Camden, up & moving in the 7th grade @ RMS even in the middle of the year. She was a true symbol of inspiration for many of us. She will be remembered & thought of often.
An inspiration for an entire community. God bless your soul and gives strength to your family.
I was saddened to hear today about sweet Karen. I just want to express my deepest sympathies to all of you. My heart goes out to you and your family. What a beautiful legacy she left behind with such amazing children Travis, Lauren, Catherine, and Jenna. She was an amazing lady and a super mom! She will be dearly missed. Wendy Odom, Shadow Forest Elementary teacher
I served as Karen's principal at Kings Manor Elementary. Even though she only taught there one year, I felt that I had known her much longer. She had such an impact on everyone that she came in contact with. Her life was a blessing to those that knew her. She will be missed, but she is pain free and has an eternal smile!
So sad to hear the news about Karen!
She lived her life with such a zest for it with all she could give! Always smiling, and so sweet and tender to the students and her friends.
RIP sweet Karen, you will be missed by so many!
Karen was the first kind face to greet and help our son when we moved here his 7th grade year. His schedule was messed up so he spent most of his first morning in her office. He knew immediately of her sincerity towards him. What he later learned to love most about her, was not only did she always know and care about him, but she knew every student's name and genuinely cared about who they were, beyond just faces in the halls. She has touched lives and left a legacy of love threaded deeply into all who knew her.
Thank you for shining God's light on the world. God Bless You.
Praying for peace for Karen's family.....Know that she is at Peace now, no more pain. I am so sorry. God will hear your prayers.
An elegant, loving and inspirational lady who fought the battle with such dignity and grace. Karen's love for her family and friends will forever be remembered. On behalf of Centre Stage Kingwood we will miss your uplifting and glorious presence. Love to the family.
Karen was such an inspiration to me!
