Aunt Katherine never forgot to send Christmas gifts all the time I was growing up, and she was my Great Aunt! I will never forget the year I graduated from one of the 'kids' to one of the 'adults', because I received Aunt Katherine's divinity for Christmas! She was a sweet and gentle lady.

Aunt Katherine was my biggest inspiration as a girl. She understood and encouraged my bookish, studious side. We had wonderful conversations about people, politics, and the world. I think I found my way to a career in education because of her. I will miss her, but what she instilled in me and many of her students will live on as her legacy. I know that she is in a better, happier place with others that she loved.

Aunt Katherine – one of the kindest, loving and most genteel Southern Women I have ever met.
Thanks for all the love Katherine. You truly made me feel like part of the Bass Clan.
Katherine always made things better.
Selfishly, I will miss, but never forget her.
What joy there must be on the other side now. She will make Heaven even better, too.
