The earliest time that I remember your Dad was when we were kids and the Beams lived in Bonanza. We wanted to play ball and the only ball that we had was a Ball bearing that was about 2" in diameter. We put tape around it to enlarge the size. Ken was the batter and I was the designated pitcher. Well I pitched and he hit the make shift ball which hit me dead center of my forehead above my eye brows. I was taken to the Dr. in Bonanza and he treated and released me. The scar still remains but the good times that your dad and I had still remain with me.

I was out of town this week and got a call from relatives in Ft. Smith telling me about Kenneth. Looking through your photo album brought back a lot of memories. He was SO proud of his children and grandchildren. Your whole family is a part of happy memories I have of growing up in Ft. Smith. I can close my eyes and picture that hay field on my daddy's farm and the "Beam boys" who hauled the hay . Daddy cut, I raked, Daddy bailed and the "Beam boys" hauled it to the barn. I wish I could have been there for his service. Thank you for the pictures and the good memories. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Shirley (Watson) Rose

I had the wonderful honor of meeting Mr. Kenneth Beam not to long ago. He had the kindest eyes and the most heart warming smile. He was a pleasure to take care of, and always made me smile! I am truly sorry for your loss.

I remember Kenneth from School, I was a couple of years older, but We had some classes together. In later years I was on The Ft. Smith Fire Dept. & drove a truck for Herb Hampton, Who's shop was across 28th St. from Kenneth's shop. I was working at The Fire Dept. the night there was a fire at Kenneth's shop. I remember Kenneth as being a very good, & very moral person, never spoke badly about anyone. He will be missed.

I pray that God will make your hearts light and joyful as you recall all your wonderful memories of Kenneth.

I would like to share a few of my memories. Your family will probably not remember me, but I remember Kenneth's parents and family with some very fond memories, thanks to my departed father and brother, Verlon and Gale Ball.

I was a very small girl when daddy worked for Neal. He would come home sharing intersting and funny stories of things he and Neal, Kenneth, and Larry had said and done. Then, Gale grew up and was associated with Kenneth and his company for a time.

As a young girl, I was smitten with Kenneth's good looks. I remember when he married and shortlty afterward, Dad, Mom, and I were invited to dinner at their tiny apartment on the north side of Ft. Smith.

I was so pleased when Kenneth came to Gale's funeral in Nov,1996. He was like a warm comforting memory from years past. Then, when dad passed in August of 2000, I contacted Kenneth and asked him to be a pallbearer and he graciously consented.

My husband, Don, and I were freight brokers and in need of a crane service to help load some heavey equipment, and of course my first thought was Kenneth. We called him, and again he graciously consented, and broutht his crane to our assistance. We had the opportunity to sit and visit with him in our office one day, and we shared funny stories and lots of laughter from those years past, when daddy was building such good memories in my mind of the Beam family. I will never forget.

We always loved to hear Kenneth sing in Church. Even though he sounded a lot like Elvis we still enjoyed his own style and sound. He will be greatly missed, his little antics and friendly smile. Quite a handsome man too.

Blessings to all his kids and grands. Always remember the fun times and that he is only gone from here but we will see him again.
