Betty - I am so sorry for your loss. You took wonderful care of Ken and he was blessed to have your companionship in his life all those years. We really enjoyed talking to Ken and admired his loyalty to the American Flag which he always displayed and encouraged others to do the same. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Your & Ken's former neighbors Nancy & Beverly

Only as time goes by will people realize just how much Ken put into those organizations he believed in and how much help he was to the people with whom he associated.

I , knew Brother Vanway, brielfy, at Fort Bend Shrine Club. His leadership and his guidance was one to admire from a man who stood tall. My only wish is that he would have been our Imperial Sir for our center here in Houston, Texas. God bless and keep you and your family safe, my deepest regrets for his family.
My deepest condolences Ken for your loss!
Ken was a devoted Rotarian and modeled the principle of "Service Above Self." He mentored our Rotaract Club at Willowridge High School and was always present for every occasion.
I contacted him when Jackie died. His sincere response was that he was blessed with her for all the years of their marriage.
Ken was a kind and precious friend! I appreciate his leadership of the Missouri City AARP chapter. I will miss him! God give his family peace and comfort as you go forward. It is a blessing to know Ken is in Heaven with our Lord! Hugs!!
Deepest condolences and prayers sent to Major Vanway's family. Pam, what a wonderful childhood you and your siblings must have had with him and your mother. I wish I had gotten to meet him. Much love to you and yours.
I will miss Ken and his assistance with my taking over as President of the Missouri City AARP Chapter #3081. Ken was a gentle and caring man, and there are very few, who I have met along the way, like Ken. He had quite an impact on my life. I am very proud to have known him.
Our deepest sympathy to the Vanway family. Ken was a good man, good friend and dedicated Rotarian. He has been missed at our Oyster Creek Rotary meetings since he had been at The Hamptons in Meadow Place. He was the backbone of our Rotary Club. He was always keeping us on track. He will be greatly missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. God's comfort and peace be with you. David and Cindy Fauvelle-members of The Rotary Club of Oyster Creek
My sympathy to Harlan's family. I only knew him for a short time after marrying Louise but I considered him a dear friend. Truly enjoyed being in his presence. He had many smiles and words of advice, ie, "Kids, if you ever need advice, give me a call". Great Guy. Dick Dallmier
Love and sincere sympathy to all the family. To Harlan: Until we meet again dear cousin. Much love!!
