Dear Cindy and family...
My father Paul Price and your dad were newspaper men together for years upon years. I grew up knowing your fathers name before I met him. When I moved to Clearfield, he was so welcoming and helpful as I found my way in the community. He was just such a great man, and reminded me so of my own father in many ways. Please accept my deepest sympathies to you and your family on this loss of such a special gentleman. PS. Cindy...my brother was Tom Price from Juniata College days with you. God Bless.

Oh, Betsy. I send you my thoughts and prayers. Losing a parent is a crushing blow...and yet I hope you find some peace in the knowledge that he will live on through you, and your child and your sister's children.
Bud was always a big family supporter. I am especially appreciative of all the help he gave to my Mother and my Aunt Lenore in their later years. He also wrote a very fine summary of my Air Force career for the Progress when I retired. He will be sorely missed.
Condolences to Bud's daughters, his extended family and his many friends.
My father (we were related to Bud) greatly enjoyed his company at work and at family functions. Dad always said you find good people working at newspapers, and Bud was one of the best. I had the pleasure of working with him for a few years in the newsroom, where he was a kind and wise mentor with a wonderful sense of humor.
Bud was a "Clearfield guy," deeply involved in his community in many ways, providing outstanding service for decades. He was a treasure and he will be missed.
Betsy, Cindy and family, For as long as I can remember your father was always such a presence in your home, community and especially the Progress. I remember going to your house when you lived on Turnpike Avenue and your father would be home. He never had a lot to say but when he did say something you knew it was something worth listening too. If there is any comfort in knowing, I am sure your father is starting a new newspaper as you read this.
God bless you and your family,
My sympathy to the family. Bud was one of my best friends all the time we knew each other. He "looked after me" as an older guy in high school, and that didn't end with graduation. Time eventually separated us, but I have always valued his friendship and wisdom. A truly great guy!
Elizabeth- I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I read his entire obituary and he certainly achieved a great deal in his lifetime. As a former Journalism and Communications major myself, I was very impressed with his career. With all of the honors bestowed on him, I know he must of been a cherished citizen to the Clearfield community.
Please know my prayers are with you and your family during this sad time. All of your happy memories will help to sustain you through the hard times.
Love, Val Sarda
