I saw Johnie right after his fall that day. I recognized his hat and went across the street, before his daughter arrived. He was smiling and sitting in a chair being tended to by many. He was a good neighbor and walked by our house every time he took a walk. If he saw us, we chatted over the fence. For a long time we shared the bounty of found cans :-) He gave us the tabs so we could give them to the Ronald McDonald House and we gave him the cans for his church. We will miss him so much as a friend and neighbor and will keep his wife in our prayers.
