To my dearest nieces and nephews -- Greg, Jan, Judy, Beth, Robert -- I send you my love and deepest condolences. Your mother -- my sister -- was a rock. And a friend and a guide and a support. I love her more than I can say and will miss her always.
I only met her once in Virginia at her son Greg's house, my very good friend, in Virginia. She was so pleasant, friendly and happy and it was a pleasure to make her acquaintance. I know Greg and Jan, but to them and all the rest of your Mother's family and friends you have my sincerest condolences, sympathy and empathy. I wish you all the best in dealing with your loss of this dear lady.
Lois is very greatly missed at Davenport Presbyterian Church. Her always-sweet smile and quiet chuckle warmed our hearts, and her presence would light up a room! I had the privilege of getting to know Lois better when we worked together on the Mission Commission. She always showed wonderfully creative initiative and worked very hard, obviously taking great joy in helping others. I also was able to witness her strength of spirit expressed as a surprising stubborn streak - always conducted in the most gentile manner, of course! She is a great lady. I love Lois very much and can't wait to see her again in heaven: I am looking forward to seeing how tall she is now!! Beth, Praying for the Lord 's tangible presence and comfort, for you and your family.
Sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Dear Beth - prayers for you and your family. Love you so much.
Keeping Judy and your family in my heart and prayers in their time of sorrow. Rest in peace Mrs. Aldrich.
Dear Beth and Family; Though I only knew Lois for a very short time. I feel I would have wanted to know her before she became so ill. I think she was a very special person. Beth may God be with you during this very difficult time. Love Evelyn Peck
Judy Judy ~ and Family ...
Love and prayers,
Our thoughts are with the Aldrich family in their time of loss. Think of the smiles she placed on your faces and the warmth she brought to your hearts to ease your sorrow today, tomorrow and always. May you find peace, comfort and strength in the days ahead.
Over the years that Bob and Lois lived in the Davenport area we had the privilege to get to know and love them both..
Lois will be missed, but memories of her live on in our hearts. To me Lois was always a sweet, gentle lady. There was another side to her. She had spunk and determination also.
I remember so well how I admired her when she called to tell me she had just killed a rattlesnake, that her beloved dog had found out beside the house. That took real "spunk" !! She was far braver then I.
Once Lois had made up her mind on a subject she did not waver but held her ground. Another admirable point.
Lois will be missed by her many friends in the area.
Love and prayers.
