Today I learned of the passing of Lois. I had met her at Country Meadows a few years ago while I was recovering from surgery. She was a very private person however I sensed she had lived a wonderful colorful exciting life. So sad we only learn of her many accomplishments after she left us. She certainly will be missed at Country Meadows. My sincere condolences to her family. Joan W Douglas
My late husband William Worrell, use to pick up copy from Gene at the Jersey Avenue house. Usually it was very late at night and Lois was the one to answer the door and appeared in her bathrobe with her hair in a long braid. So many colorful memories of those days! My condolences to Peter, Prudence and family.
I met Lois 17 years ago when she arrived at Country Meadows of Hershey with her husband. She was a delight - classy without being stuffy and so articulate. She immediately became my role model -- the person I wanted to emulate as I aged. She was always fun, interested and interesting. And still had a flair for fashion as evidenced by her colorful stockings and other accessories! I will miss seeing her and hearing her life stories.
