Ruth and Family, My prayers go out to you and the family and of course Louise for whom I will celebrate a Mass. May the good Lord guide you during this time of loss. Grant eternal rest unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. God bless you, Fr. Tom Voorhies
I was sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers go out to Mrs. Chatagnier's family.
My condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Chatagnier. One can safely assume that "all Cajuns are related" and Mrs. Chatagnier is my 5th cousin twice-removed via her LeBlanc line. Her 3rd great-grandfather, Rene LeBlanc m. Marguerite Trahan was my 5th great-granduncle. One of Rene's sisters was Rose LeBlanc who became the 1st Acadian Nun in Louisiana [she is represented by figure #1 on the Acadian Memorial Mural] Rose and 3 of her sisters married 4 sons of Joseph Broussard dit Beausoleil. Rose's husband and both their children died during the exile. Dudley LeBlanc was her 2nd cousin, once-removed.

Remembering the many visits as a young boy with my dad Ulric, Aunt Lou always had those Lil coverered tarts that I learned to love just like Dad. My visits and now memories were all good.
Aunt Lou is the last of a generation. I realized that as I read the list of her six sister and day who preceded her. They did their part now it is our turn who follow. Thank God we know there is a place prepared for us all who know Him.
