I knew Maggie since I was a little girl growing up in Menasha. We were neighbors on Racine St. My special times with Maggie was going over and licking all the S&H Green Stamps for her. LOL LOL. Also, my very favorite was going to St. Mary's Church on Saturday and watching her dress the infant Jesus. Then going across the street to the bakery. Such fond memories I will never forget. I was so in awe of Nancy & Dickie, since they were teenagers at that time. They were such special times.
I am so Happy to say that I saw Maggie in August of 2013. My Aunt Mary & I went to see her at the Nursing Home. Sadly she didn't know me, however, she still had that cute giggle and sparkle in her eyes. I had a big heart on my dress and she reached over & touched it and replied,"HEART" as she gave me a BIG SMILE. What more could I ask for. I still felt like that little girl from long ago, only to realize that now I was this grown woman who so wanted Maggie to know that I came to see her. Love you MAGGIE.
I met Maggie in August through volunteer work at O.G. She touched my heart in a way I can't explain & I am so very grateful for that opportunity, if only for a few short weeks. God Bless!
To the Arndt family - I have fond memories of Maggie teaching and caring for me during my pre school years. My sympathy to all of you.
