Dear family of Margrethe, I was shocked to learn of my friend's death. I hadn't seen her in fifty some years. We were best buddies back at Calvary Assembly of God in Inglewood. We used to spend hours on the telephone. We even wrote a little melodrama, "The Many Loves of Brave Beauregard." It was silly but a lot of fun. We put it on for the Calvary youth group.
I also got to visit Margrethe when she and her parents were in Mexico City. Some young Mexican was trying to gain her favor. One night while staying at her parents' house, she was serenaded by mariachi singers who stood below her window. That was incredible.
I have lived overseas for years as my husband and I worked in Youth With A Mission. I tried a couple of times to find Margrethe but was unsuccessful. Tonight, I tried finding her by Googling and was successful for the first time, finding her obituary.
I hope and pray you are all comforted by the Lord Jesus. I'm sure Margrethe is incredibly happy right now. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer to visit with her again.
Jim & Greta; Chuck & I were so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. You are in our prayers.
Dear Jim, Gretta, Troy, and Kayla, We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Margrethe always had a smile on her face when I would see her. Whatever was happening with her life she kept her sense of humor and positive attitude. She was kind and loving and I enjoyed talking with her. She'll be missed and you'll be in our prayers.
Dear Jim, Gretta, Troy, and Kayla, Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I remember going to the gym for water aerobics with Gretta and Margrethe. That was always fun! She was so active even though she was faced with so many health obstacles - and she was always smiling when I saw her. Kayla, your grandmother was one of a kind and a treasure to keep in your heart forever. Gretta, I know you feel as though you lost your dearest friend and I pray that your memories will keep you feeling connected to her and bring comfort at this time. Remember, I am just down the street or a phone call away and I'm here anytime for you.
In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
