Dear Chris & Andy,

I apologize that my condolences come late as Bud passed while I was on a Florida vacation. I am so sorry for your loss.

Your Mom was a fabulous teacher! I first met Bud when your Dad gave my husband, Bob, his very first teaching position at Central School. We then moved to your neighborhood and became great friends. Years later when I became Principal of Cottrell School I was looking for a dynamic team of two teachers for my upper level. I knew immediately who would be a good match for my team and hired Bud and Bob Driscoll. It was a pleasure to watch excellence at work and am happy to see that lasted 15 years!

Countless Auburn and Monmouth students have been blessed by your Mom's teaching, genuine concern, guidance, and tender care. May God now keep Bud in his tender care, as she truly deserves.

To the family of Marilyn Logan: I had the priviledge of knowing Marilyn when she was teaching in Monmouth. Both she and Bob Driscoll were such inspirations to me as a young teacher. They were a special team. I loved chatting with your Mom after school. She was so friendly and entertaining. Marilyn was a wonderful woman and a great teacher. She will be missed but has left an example to so many students and teachers. They will honor her memory for years and years to come. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Judy Mank (Winthrop ME)

Mrs. Logan had a profound ability to make anyone in her presence feel comfortable. She had a warm, down to earth personality with a delightful sense of humor and a twinkle in her eye. Growing up is difficult, especially during the teenage years, other than my own home, I have never felt so comfortable, loved and safe as I did at the Logan household. She brought joy with her wherever she went. I am just sure she is happy and free on the next part of her journey but we will all miss her immensely. My deepest condolences for your loss.

Dear family of Bud Logan, So sorry to hear of Bud's death. My daughter, Kyla, had the privilege of having her for a teacher in Grade 6th in Monmouth. Kyla was not an " easy" student, but Mrs. Logan and Mr. Driscoll brought out the best in her for which I will always be grateful for. Even when Kyla was in high school many times at the end of the day she would run over to the Middle School to visit them. I'm sure many other students and parents will remember her fondly as one of the best and caring teachers ever. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

"What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness,
a longing for one more day, one more word,
one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon,
or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little,
we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived.
And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget"
