The loss of a parent is never easy. I just want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Murphy, You may not remember us, but my family lived next door to yours on Alder Avenue. My parents and yours were friends and you and I played together when we were little. My mom is still living at home at age 93 and when she read of your mother's passing in the newspaper, we began remembering your mother's lovely singing voice, her beautiful smile and great kindness. For me, I have fond memories of her taking us to Turner's and to visit your grandparents. My mom has happy memories of chatting with your mother and Dad about their vegetable gardens in the backyard. Your mother was a lovely person. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Hephzibah Crawford, Kippy Crawford Young, and my sisters, Skitchy and Penny
