Loretta, just found out that Merwin passed. We are so sorry for your loss and hope that all of your memories help you through this difficult time. We loved visiting him at Oak Grove, and when we had the pizza party he surely enjoyed them. Please take care of yourself, so happy to have known both of you.
Merwin was such a loveable man and I so enjoyed visiting with the both of you whenever I returned to Madison these last few years. I am so happy that he was able to attend our 2013 Class Reunion. You could tell that he was enjoying visiting with everyone. Though he has been called home, we know that one day we will see him again. Let your strength in the Church comfort you and guide you. Your precious memories of your time here on earth will always be in your heart.
Love and my God Bless you and your family.
So sorry for your loss Loretta, My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr. Nixon was a wonderful man, warm welcoming and charming. He brought love and laughter to all he touched. I will miss him. My deepest sympathy for all, my thoughts and prayers are with you always.
. Merwin was a dear sweet friend. Dale and I have spent many hours with him and Loretta, and Merwin would tell me such tall tales. He will be missed by many, but now life for him will be without pain in that glorious place he now abodes, and no doubt Dale will be happy to see him. My prayers and thoughts are with Loretta and family.
Dear Loretta, thank you so much for the friendship and love you gave us while we served in Skowhegan. It was always a highlight of our time there when we were in your home and playing Dominoes with you and Merwin. He was a good sport and had a wonderful sense of humor. We love you and him very much and will pray for you to have comfort and strength during this difficult time. I know the Lord will bless you greatly and that the gospel of Jesus Christ will carry you through this. We will see you soon. Love, Elder and Sister Tanner

We have fond memories of visiting with Merwin and Loretta for years at their home in Chelmsford and serving alongside them in the Church. It was wonderful watching the kids grow and move on with their new lives. Merwin was always so warm, welcoming, cheery, thoughtful and loved to share impressions and insights about the gospel. He and Loretta gave so much to the Billerica Ward, then the Littleton Ward, and then the Lowell Ward here in Massachusetts before moving back home to Maine. Our love and prayers to you Loretta and to Rusty, Jeff, Cherri, Mary Ann, and Bill and your families.
