We were all so blessed to
have known Morton Adels.
As a patient you had a new
friend and the most competant physician one would
ever hope to have. After
31 years in his care including two
beautiful children de-
livered, one of whom be-
came a doctor, I would
run into him golfing at
Memorial Park, and be reminded of his kind and gentle nature. I had missed the sad news of his
passing, but learned of it
today through mutual friend, Charles Streusand.

I am so truly sorry for your
loss, yet thankful he and
his family shared his warm
and sharp presence with
so many of us very blessed
and fortunate Houston and
Texas women.

I moved to Houston at the age of 21 to work at the Medical center as a surgical tech. My Dad told me to call a fellow Doctor, who he had gone through OB residency with in Philadelphia, who my Dad said was a great guy who would help me if I ever needed it. That man was Dr. Adels, who I thought was so funny, gentle and kind. He hired me to work in his office along with Ann and Che' and what a wonderful time it was. Dr. A. was the tallest most loveable Texan I have ever met and I will never forget him! With love to all the Adels girls.

Dr. Adels was my doctor from 1973 until his retirement and delivered my youngest child. He was my mother's and daughter's doctor as well. I'll never forget going into surgery and a nurse at Methodist Hospital asking me who my doctor was, I replied, Morton Adels, her comment, "you have the best." I am so grateful that I met you Cindy at Methodist Hospital last October with Dr. Adels as I was leaving with my husband. What a joy to see him and the twinkle still in those eyes and smile even though he was ill. There will never be another doctor like Dr. Adels.

Mort, You will be missed, by your loving family and friends and by all of us who had the honor and joy of knowing and spending time you.
March 29, 2010
Dr. Adels was a joy, even with the dreaded pelvic exams that one had to submit to with a visit to him. He cared for several in our family. Because we rebounded quickly from surgery, he always said we were of good peasant stock. We didn't know whether to feel complimented or insulted! He was certainly a one-of-a-kind doctor who was well loved by us and his other patients.

I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Dr. Adels. He delivered my youngest son opening weekend of deer season 1965. I stayed with him until his retirement He was a kind, caring man and a wonderful doctor. I know it must be a great comfort to his family to know so many people loved and respected him. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. God bless.

What a wonderful man and great doctor. I started seeing Dr. Adels when I was 22 years old and he remained my doctor for over 25 years. He delivered my daughter and my son who are now both grown. I really did love him, he was a special person and I will never forget him... My deepest sympathy.
March 25, 2010
My thoughts and prayers are with all of Morton's family. I loved this man...he was one of a kind ~ that is for sure. There is not another doc out there of his caliber. I first met him in 1973 and he delivered both of my kiddos ~ My son in '76 and my daughter in '77 ~ AND at that delivery he wore his Super Man Costume ~ He was always there for me ~ through happy times and hard times. I will miss him so.

"I will always remember the way Dr. Adels welcomed me into his home with a smile, a joke and usually some sort of sporting event on the television. He had a way of making me feel comfortable and I will never forget the way he treated me with respect and kindness. May the Adel's family find the strength to carry on and realize that Dr. Adels touched, and changed many lives, during his lifetime.

I had the pleasure of working for Dr. Adels at the Airport Macgregor clinic from 1998 til his retirement. He was a kind, gentle man, who always had a smile and a friendly word for me, and was so compassionate to all his patients. I was truly blessed to have known him. Goodbye MJA from your AJM. Prayers to your family for their comfort.
March 24, 2010
I was one of Dr. Adels many patients for over 20 years. He delivered my son
on April 23rd, and my daughter on April 3rd--both in the early 70's. He wanted to deliver both of them on April 7th, because that was his birthday! He was the most wonderful doctor I have ever had--he was so caring and he had such a great bedside manner.
I am so sad to hear of his passing. I know that we all have a wonderful gaurdian angel up in heaven to watch over us.
My thoughts are with all of his family.
May the love of friends bring you comfort---
May the love of God bring you peace---

Dr. Adels delivered my daughter in 1972 and was my doctor until his retirement. He was a witty, gentle and caring man who always took the time to make me feel that I was his top priority. My thoughts and prayers are with the Adels family.

Dr. Adels delivered me in Houston in 1976. I've gone on to have an incredible life, having grown up in Tyler, and now I live in Denver where I am a college professor. I have always heard about Dr. Adels and how my birth was such a joyous--and humorous--event, largely as a result of this incredible man. I never had a chance to meet Dr. Adels, but he might have been pleased to know that, 34 years after he remarked, "Whatever it is, it's got red hair!" it still has red hair. Dr. Adels delivered my two wonderful sons in the early 70's. I told him if I had a girl, I was going to name her Leslie Adel after him not knowing his father's name. I had a son nevertheless. I was blessed to be his patient.
March 24, 2010
We were so sad to hear of Morton's passing. Our family have always been close to the Adel's family although time and distance have kept us apart for years. Carole and I spent 8 years in Tyler, Texas and were dear friends of Mortons parents. Our thoughts are with the family at this time.

Dear Adels Family,
Dr. Adels was my doctor for decades. He was an extraordinary doctor, and I will miss him very much. I have a medical practice of my own now, and teach too, and I find myself doing things that he did, things that meant so much to me as the patient. He was a wonderful role model, and the good things that he has done will live on and on through the people he helped and the students he taught.

I too was a patient of Dr. Adels in the late sixties. He was due to deliver our son in December of 1968 but had to leave to attend a space launch later that day in FL going to the moon I believe. I will never forget how kind and concerned he was with me assuring me that another associate was perfectly capable of delivering the baby because his flight was leaving and I was still in labor - after being induced at that! I never got to tell him that same baby became a secret service agent on the presidential detail and was attached to Laura Bush and then Jenna and then the president for a short while. I think he would have been proud! He was a wonderful doctor and friend and loved his girls dearly. We are so sorry for your loss. Sue Feldman

My heart is filled with sadness at the loss of Dr. Adels. He was my doctor from the 60s until he retired from OB/GYN Associates, and I've asked about him every time I've been there since he left. Such a caring, fun-loving man. He took good care of me through the years and especially while I was pregnant with my daughter (now 33). He was out of town for the delivery and apologized profusely because, as he said, "I wanted to unwrap that package myself." He did, however, personally deliver the baby boy who grew up to marry my daughter, so he is very special to our family. To his family and dear friends, my prayers are with you.
March 23, 2010
Dr. Adels and I were Pi Lambda Phi fraternity brothers at OU. He was equal parts "gentle" and "giant". May his memory be a blessing to those near to him.
March 23, 2010
I am one of Dr. Adels 4,000+ patients. He delivered both of my sons, (1968 and 1973). He made the whole experience one that I will never forget. He also delivered both of my nieces and was also my Mother's doctor until he retired. We all loved him and are so sorry to hear of his passing. It surely must be comforting to the family to know that he was so well thought of and loved. God bless you all...
March 23, 2010
DR. ADELS BECAME MY DOCTOR WHEN I WAS IN MY EARLY TWENTIES UNTIL HE RETIRED. I TRUSTED HIM COMPLETELY AND HE WAS THE ONLY DOCTOR I HAD FAITH IN TO PERFORM SURGERY. WHEN I GOT PREGNANT AT THIRTY-FIVE HE HAD STOPPED DELIVERING BABIES AND I WAS THE MOST DISAPPOINTED PATIENT, HE WAS PROFESSIONAL, INSTILLED CONFIDENCE AND ONE OF THE FINEST DOCTORS OF HIS TIME. I KNOW HE FOUGHT A COURAGEOUS BATTLE BECAUSE THAT WAS HIS NATURE - HE LOVED HIS GIRLS - MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY - HE WAS A WONDERFUL DOCTOR - YOU WERE BLESSED TO HAVE HIM. FONDLY, JOAN PRATKA, FORMER PATIENT
March 23, 2010
I was so blessed to have Dr. Adels as a doctor from the 80's until his retirement; his impressive professional and personal skills are legend. His skills, kindness, compassion and wit made him an amazing, unforgettable person. I recall pictures of his girls, proudly displayed in his office, as well as his eagerness to brag about each of them. My condolences go out to all of his loved ones.

Dearest Cindy and family,
I was blessed to have been a patient of Dr.Adels - my first visit was in 1966 - he delivered both of my sons. Our younger son was born the day after Dr.Adels' birthday 1969 - I tried to send him a birthday card each year. What a dear friend and great doctor. My sincere condolences to all who knew and loved him. He was so proud of his girls and grandchildren. May he rest in peace. May God be with you all at this time. God bless the angels of Methodist's 8th floor.
Sincerely,
Judy Dressendorfer

My first child (1979) was one of Dr. Adels' 4000+ deliveries. As a young mother-to-be I was very fortunate to have been under his care. He was a very compassionate "and" humorous doctor. My sincere condolences to the entire family.
March 23, 2010
I knew him first as the doctor who delivered me, then he became my trusted doctor. Years later it was a wonderful surprise when I learned he was the father of my colleague Kelly. He was a wonderful person--in all his roles. Dr. Adels will be missed.
March 23, 2010
I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Adels the day I was born, literally! He was my mothers doctor for more than 25 years and delivered me and my two sisters. Then almost 17 years later I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Adels myself. He was not only one of the nicest people I've known but he was a wonderful doctor. He was always kind, patient and willing to take the time to talk to you. Five years ago my father died and Dr. Adels was kind enough to come to my fathers funeral - I hope he knew how much this meant to my family. You will be missed Dr. Adels.
March 23, 2010
Kelly, I'm sorry for the loss of your father. I offer my sincerest condolences.

Dear Phylis, Jill, Nancy, Dawn, Allison, Kelly etal: Peace be with you all!!! On this very special occasion of your father's passing, we stretch to realize our ultimate faith that we, too, will see our family again some day in Heaven. For your father was a very successful man with a sacred vocation of delivering new souls to earth. He reached the pinnacle of his God-given tasks and is now sharing in the eternal joy we are promised. What an angel, what a life well-lived! As Jill and I said, now both of our fathers rejoice in their earthly daughters and we, who are still here, have a face assigned to our own personal angel in Heaven. May our Lord continue to inspire and bless you all to follow in your father's footsteps of love, Kathy Kurtin Stewart
