Bayo, I remember the years we spent together at Ife. I remember more vividly our conversations when we found ourselves years later. We discussed at length in February, and then May this year...if only we had known, I would have made that journey to see you! Rest my brother, rest...

Please accept our deepest condolence in your lost. We were shocked to learn of his death and that he was living in Charlotte. On September 17, 2011, I now believe I saw him. I saw a man that looked so much like him, but I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. For many years Bayo was an important friend of my family, we wish his family God's peace and understanding.

Baba Ijesha, just to state the obvious about a truly larger than life man: Knowing you was truly a pleasure and the pleasure was all mine....it feels so unreal BUT true to your nature, you left this mortal earth in style. You've left lasting sweet memories in many hearts; this is truly a rare gift. You have gone to a better place to be with your maker and I pray that those of us you've left behind can continue to live the dream.....so all of your effort would not have been in vain. Rest in perfect peace. Modupe (Mama Desola)

I had several legal cases against Bayo over the years and he always conducted himself as a true gentleman and Christian. He was a credit to the legal profession and to humanity. The world was a better place with him in it, and he truly will be missed.

Dear Family, I offer my condolences to you. I had the privilege and pleasure of working with Bayo on cases in which I was the court-appointed mediator. Bayo was a man of integrity who used his intellectual gifts zealously in the service of his clients. His passing is a loss to the Bar. I hope that you will find comfort in good memories of my colleague Bayo and in the love and care of family and friends.
