Dear Ackley Family,
I just got my BL Reflections magazine in the mail today and was shocked and saddened to read about the passing of Mrs. Ackley. She was my English teacher in the 80's and you guys lived across the street from me on Wallbrook. I used to think it was so cool to have my teacher living across the street from me. She was so kind, always smiling and boy, did I learn so much from her and enjoyed being in her class. I am sure words can not replace your loss. I am sure she is smiling down on all of you and one day you shall be reunited. Thank you for sharing this wonderful lady w/so many of us in the BL community. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
John and Family,Please know that our Prayers and Thoughts are with you all, We are so sorry for your loss, God Bless and give you all strength in this time of sadness.
Dear Ackley Family,
I was so sad to hear of Pam's passing. She was such a gracious, friendly, kind and thoughtful woman, who warmly welcomed our family into the BL family. I respected and admired her, and I will remember her as always having a smile on her face. When she and Jim stopped at Niagara University to say hello to Peter all those years ago, it meant as much to me as it did to him. Just another example of Pam's thoughtfulness. You are all in my prayers, and I hope you find comfort and joy in your shared stories and family memories. God bless you all.
Pam was my 6th grade teacher at Good Shepherd and then my English teacher at Bishop Lynch. I counted her as a friend and remember her as an amazing teacher that navigated the fine line of authority and friendliness while maintaining grace all along the way.
God Bless and Rest in Peace.
Sam and I are heartbroken to hear of Pam's passing. She was such a wonderful and loving person and she will surely be missed! We are thinking of you and your family and keeping you in our prayers.

John, Rob, Brooklyn and Jim, our deepest sympathy. Who would have thought about six years ago how close we became. Pam was a "doer'! She loved doing things for others! When I introduced her to our neighbor (Lebanese) she started bringing her bread and other Lebanese treats! She was like that. We had such fun with Brooklyn - we made the trips to Bent Tree for the Easter Feast and Egg Hunt, the photographer, UPMC grandparents day and preschool, and shopping the internet for our little princess! I could go on and on. When I was sick she was right over with an entire meal! How she could cook! When she got a neat recipe she would always share! Politics? Oh we shared that too! The memories are sweet, and she will be missed for a long time. Pam, you are one loved lady!

My favorite teacher of all time at Bishop Lynch High School. Mrs. Ackley had such a pleasant and commanding spirit. Excellent teacher who knew how to connect with all students. I have spoken of her many times over the years with all "favorite teacher" discussions. Very saddened to hear of this loss. My thoughts and prayers are with the Ackley family.
Our prayers are with your family. WE had some great times and have some fond memories of Pam.

We will forever miss Pam as she was part of our Calabash family, she opened her heart and home to us and always made sure we had wonderful holidays.
