I am saddened to learn about her passing. I was slated to be the yearbook editor at Hall, but the schools were closed. I regret not being able to work with her that year, but I was privileged to work with her the year before. She was a gem.

Pat was a difficult act to follow. Not only was she an outstanding teacher, she wrote innumerable references for students who wished to enroll in college. It was my good fortune to be a member of the same sorority as Pat. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Joy Cox Broach

I was privileged to be her student and her friend. She allowed me to call her
"Pat Bliss" or in moments of meeting deadlines on the Warrior staff, simply
"PBW". She was one of those rare teachers whose lessons stay with you for
life, because they were, in fact, life lessons. Barbie Peters and I worked on her
husband Sherman's first run for political office, making posters and handing
out flyers and PBW and Sherman kindly credited Barbie and I for getting him elected, we knew we hadn't but it made us feel awfully good to think so. I send
my sincere condolences to her family on the loss of this truly great woman.

Pat (the Elder) was the matriarch of the neighborhood when I lived near her in Little Rock. Sitting in her carport listening to all of her intriguing stories made for such a great evening. Wonderful memories of Pat will last a lifetime. I am so glad I had the opportunity to share in part of her life. My condolences and prayers go out to her son and family

My condolences to Pat's son and family. She was my favorite teacher, hands down ! Putting together every issue of the Hall High newspaper with her steady encouragement was the highlight of my high school experience. She had a wonderful personality and loved her students. I will miss her. Godspeed, dear lady.

Mrs. Williams was my Journalism teacher at Hall High School, the first year that Hall High was opened in the Fall of 1957. I was the first yearbook editor of The Warrior. Later, at Ole Miss, when I was initiated into KappaKappa GammaFraternity, it was with Mrs. Williams' Kappa Key.My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Pat gave wonderful book reports to the New Century Study Club in Neosho, A club that her mother belonged to. Hughla was very proud of her, and rightly so; she gave wonderful book reports. Fran McMillan
