Pattie was one of the most surprising and strong women I have had the good fortune to meet in my life. I'm thrilled to have had the opportunity to know her and to laugh with her. Thanks Pattie for being you.

I am so fortunate to have Pattie in my life. I am happy she got to know my children so well. I will miss her every day, and she will be my muse.

NEVER judge a book by its cover-my 1st impression of this fragile, demure southern lady was so far removed from who the REAL Patie Burke was. After reading Patie's book, she became an inspiration & role model to me. After one of my last visits where I cried all over her, I told my husband Armand that I felt like we had such a special bond. His reply-EVERYONE who ever came in contact with Pattie feels the same bond-a truly remarkable woman. I also told her that I would always picture her in the bathing suit w/the big bow in front-trying to pass her swimming test so she could become a TEACHER. Karen Gonsoulin ( Austin, TX)
