Thanks for being a great mentor in my life. It was hard writing and preaching at your funeral, but I tried my best to both honor you, bring glory to God, and preach the gospel. It's comforting to know you are with the Lord now. See you at the Resurrection! ~John David

So very sorry to hear of Doug's passing. It was a shock to both my wife and myself. Had known Doug for many years beginning in the 1970's when we met each other thru ALTA tennis league @ S. Fulton Tennis Ctr. and played together many years on the same men's team.
Doug was a fine gentleman and friend and was dearly loved by those who knew him. Had not seen him in several years since his retirement from State Farm, but I will miss him very much. His passing is a great loss not only to his family, but also to those who really knew and loved him. You have our deepest sympathy and condolences and I know that Doug is in eternal glory & happiness and awaiting those of us who love the Lord.

Suzanne, I was really sorry to hear about Doug. He was one of the "older guys" that I got to know when I moved to College Park to finish high school. It has been a great pleasure to see both of you while working on the reunions for the last several years. We will all miss him. You know that I will help if you need me to do anything. Just let me know.
