So many memmories, and so much laughter.
My friend for over 60 years,. The closest I'll ever come to having a sister.I will hang a plaque on the door of the room she stayed in over the years, where she slept over, on her many"TRIPS TO SCRIPPS", saying, Paula slept here! Now sleep well my friend, sleep well .
Paula showered all her students with affection and delighted in their unique personalities and abilities. She believed each child was talented and gifted and destined for great things. Even in middle age, those of us who were taught, tutored, or mentored by her, strive to be all she thought we could be. She inspired us to dream big and make our dreams come true. Now that's a teacher! I miss my beloved friend, the unwavering wind at my back.
What a bright and wonderful light while she was here, now shining on the other side. Prayers to her family.
I cleaned house for her, a great person, RIP Paula.
Paula, we shared a writing class with Patrice and many a raffle at California Writer's Club. Your sunny spirit lives in in the hearts of those who knew you, and may God rest your soul and shower His peace.

Rest in peace, dear Paula. Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness and friendship they have shared and the love they brought into our lives. The light of Paula's spirit shines upon us all. With my deepest sympathy to family and friends.
Paula lived across from us on Cedar Street in Pacific Grove for many years after she retired from teaching in Big Sur. She was a good neighbor and a good person. She will be missed by many. may her memory be a blessing. i see her name daily on a brick in front of our Skidompha Library in Damariscotta
Paula/Anita, we miss you terribly but we know you are at peace. Thank you for sharing your life with us. You are awesome! I have a feeling you are up there forming a writer's group and many other things, way to go! Love, JPM
Paula changed the world. She made it better, stronger, more loving and respectful. Before I knew her again on the Peninsula, I had known her in San Francisco and have been influenced by that person all the years since. Her spontaneous affection for life's funny ironies and joy. I have always thought of her as a model of an interesting, fun and worthwhile person. When I learned later of her enormous contributions to Big Sur I did not doubt the accolades others gave her. She was an eternal, powerful spirit who put giving to others above all.
What an incredibly remarkable woman! Paula was such a blessing in my life and one of the most caring women I have ever met. I miss her smile, her stories, and her life's adventures she shared with me. She is missed everyday by the multitude of us that were fortunate enough to have known her and called her our friend.
