She made my early years of teaching so much more desirable, as well as easier.
I remeber being fearful ending 3rd grade knowing I might be in her class the next year. As it turned out, she quickly became my favorite teacher of all and I remember her fondly. She would buy the class popsicles when everyone made a hundred on our spelling test. I was the lucky one chosen to make the quick trip across the street to buy the reward. I would hug her today if I could!!

Mrs. Anderson made such a huge impression on so many of us. So much has changed in the world since 1949, but she was always so steady and focused. Bob my prayers are with you.
She was a great teacher and remembered well. She added value to our young lives. Blessings to all.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
I have often thought about Mrs. Anderson and wondered where she lived. I don't live in Denison anymore but visit often and every time I pass by Central Ward my thoughts of being in her 1st grade class flash before me.She was so tiny, petite, neat, sweet and a wonderful caring teacher. She cared about every student. I have a picture of her around here somewhere that I just ran across recently. My thoughts and prayers are with her whole family. You should be very proud of the impact she made on so many students lives. Class of 50-51.

Such a spunky litttle English teacher. Loved her.
Ms. Anderson was just the neatest teacher and customer I ever had. She was so graceful yet strong. I always enjoyed seeing her everywhere I went, she was very active right till her depature from us. Adoration is what I have left.
Mrs. Anderson was a beautiful lady. She was my high school teacher and I adored her. Always smiling and a heart that was bigger than the world itself. She was definitely one of a kind!

Extra prayers for the Anderson family during this difficult time. Mrs Anderson was my high-school English teacher over 30 years ago & she was priceless. I remember her like it was yesterday! She influenced many over the years and will never be forgotten!
Although I was schooled at Central Elementary and DHS, I was never graced with Mrs. Anderson as my teacher, but my siblings and many friends were. She was an excellent teacher. We are all blessed that she lived a long and full life with us, and now her eternity has begun with her Lord and Savior. My prayers to her family and the rest of us who mourn her departure.
Mrs Anderson was a fantastic teacher, she always took the time to help you understand grammar. She was so patient and kind. A very sharp dresser and her hair was never out of place. Thoughts and prayers to her family and close friends, she lived a long and fulfilling life.
Your wonderful Mrs Anderson was my first grade teacher, 1950 / 1951. She was then, is now, and will always be the sweetest and best loved teacher I ever experienced in my school days in Denison, Tx. She was so full of energy and spirited. I can never forget how well she kept our attention each day and was actually able to get all of us to take our naps (at the same time). My uncle Freddie 1948 / 1949 and my sister Clydette 1949 /1950 were also her students at Central. Just know that our family is praying for each of you in the loss of such a Lady and family member.
My prayers are with the family of Rachel, She was a wonderful, kind and funny Lady that I adored, God needed another " ANGEL" and took her home.
GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU !!!
The family and friends of Rachel Anderson will be in my thoughts and prayers. What a phenomenal woman and teacher she was. She touched so many lives with her words and wisdom... I am one of those she touched. Thank you Rachel Anderson for giving so much of yourself to others. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
