I'll always remember the first time I met Rachell Shealy. I was visiting the Oakdale Church of God and was sitting alone on a pew. Within minutes while waiting for the service to begin, a lady approached me and introduced herself as Rachell Shealy. She talked a few seconds then invited me to come and sit with her during the service. Needless to say we became friends.
Rachell has touched my life through her love for God. One thing about Rachell, she was a determined lady.
Down the road, that determination resulted in a ministry that still continues to this day. She was instrumental in Oakdale Church starting a sign language class.
To this day, this ministry is beyond sign language. Lives are continuing to be changed and blessed due to a lady that was obedient, determined, and committed to follow the Lord.
Even tho' she has left us in body, her faithfulness to God is still changing lives today.
Rachell was a committed Christian and loved the Lord and shared her love for the Lord boldly.
I will always remember Rachell as a friend and her love for family and her Lord.
So sorry for your loss. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
I had quite a few memories of Nanny, on family occasions. She loved spending time with the family. I will never forget the Christmas she wrapped a baby doll and gave to me. I thought it was Brandy's but the joke was on me! See Rachell in Heaven!

So sorry for loss. Praying for you.
To Gary, Byron and all your wonderful family.
Rachel was a lovely lady and one that we have many shared memories with. She had a great laugh and lit up any room. We will be praying for you all during this time. Blessings to you all.
I am so sorry that my dear friend Rachell has left us, but I know where she is and that she is rejoicing in heaven. I will miss her dearly. Gary, Byron, and all the family I send my deepest sympathies.
Love and prayers to Rachel's family. I have so many wonderful memories of her. We attended the same church and our children were close in age. We spent many hours making sugar Easter eggs. I always remember her when I see one. She had the most beautiful smile, and was so giving.
Rachell was a dear lady and a special friend to our family when she was at Oakdale Church. Living so close to my mother in Pineville, she was always faithful to visit Mother and check on her throughout the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love to all of you. Dorothy Harbin
