Randy you were such a positive force in life. I know that your work will be continued. You are looking down on us right now I just know it!
Such tragic news.Heartbreaking and just out of the blue as tragedy often is. Randall and I formed an alliance thru my business at The Shrimp Connection in Summerfield Farms: we traded shrimp for advertising.A beautiful thing. But more than that we discussed the local political climate. He provided such great dry humor but more than that he put some "checks and balances" into the Town Hall and council. My sympathy goes to his family and to all those who saw his greatness and love for life. A brilliant mind is gone but the memories are burned into our hearts. We talked about Charles Bukowski,an author he liked:
“there is a place in the heart that will never be filled
and even during the
the greatest times
we will know it
we will know it
there is a place in the heart that
will never be filled
we will wait
in that space.”
? Charles Bukowski
Grace and family, God's peace be with all of you. I remember the boys from school and church and my boys were the same ages. Prayers, Jean Stofanik
Randy was my supervisor at a college internship a number of years ago. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing and wanted to offer my sympathy and condolences to the Gregg Family. As a mentor, he demonstrated a fun, yet determined, can-do spirit and always took the time to ensure my internship was meaningfull and productive, for which I'm grateful. He was generous with his time and talents. Again my condolences for your loss.
To the entire Gregg family. I am very sorry for your loss and you have my deepest sympathies. I don't really have the words to express just how I feel but I was flabbergasted to say the least as I know you were as well. I've known Randy for over 30 years and he was a wonderful person and a great humanitarian. My wife and I just had dinner with him on Monday before and as usual had a wonderful time discussing all of our normal topics which always included boating. Our slips were close together at the marina and we always enjoyed each others company. This has been very tough and I am just able to even discuss it openly. You are all in my prayers and Randy will always be in my thoughts. He was an awesome friend and I'm thankful for the time that I was able to spend with him.
So saddened by this tragic loss for the Gregg family and each of us who had the honor to know Randall. I had only recently come to talk with him again after HS and I wish I had the opportunity to know even more about him. What an amazing and an all around great guy. I am sure he is sitting in the Heavens telling his many stories and will be waiting on the other side for each of us.
Randy was a dedicated journalist and I enjoyed speaking to him over the years on different issues within the community. I worked with the Guilford County Sheriff's Office and I had the opportunity of knowing Randy for many years working the Summerfield, Oak Ridge, and Stokesdale area. My thoughts and prayers are with Randy's family.

When I heard of your tragic loss, my heart ached for you and your family. I know how much you love your boys! I remember all the sweet stories you use to share of Randy. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Again, I am sorry for your loss.
Randy was best friends with my sons Scott and Jeremy Roberts. He grew up always at our house. Over the years, he always remembered where he grew up. I will always remember his smile and his kindness and respect for me and all of his friends. We will miss him very much. Rest in peace, RANDY and our prayers go out to all family and friends.
I met Randall in law school and we were friends with Tom Davis, a classmate. Tom died 2 years ago from cancer and his dying wish was that Randall and I serve as pallbearers. I talked with Randall 2 weeks ago and we laugh about how Tom paid us both back for not being in his wedding. He forgave us eventually and boy did we miss his antics from law school. Randall promised to visit me in Maryland this spring. My wife and daughter both were look forward to seeing him as well. It would not have been the first time that he stayed with me, nor would it have been the last. I miss my friend and extend my deepest condolence to the Gregg family.
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to get to know Randy. He was always a sweet and gentle soul. He was passionate about his career and always has his camera at the ready. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this time of sudden grief.
Such a tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with you Crash and your family.

I am so sad, so shocked at hearing this news. I have known Randall 9 yrs, great yrs, a firm friend, he traveled to Ireland with me and my family justfell in love with him, strong bonds between him and all of us at Tir na nOg, we loved to see him coming in, always a grin, a story and a hug. I will miss him very much, all of us at the Pub will miss him. and our hearts go out to the family, especially his Mother, as a Mother who has lost two sons, I know how very very painful this will be for her. He talked of his Mother with the greatest of fondness and respect. RIP dear friend, Will think of you often and miss you a lot.

I have been flooded with memories both old and new. From the times spent with Randy in our high school journalism class, various outings, our mutual interest in NC Beer, my Christmas party this past year, and most recently his visit one Sunday afternoon two short weeks ago. While shocked and saddened, I also feel such gratitude to have known Randy, to have worked with him, to have learned from him, and most importantly to have called him friend.
Forever in our hearts,
Randy was a kind, loyal and generous friend. I consider myself blessed to have known him and I will miss him terribly. Rest in peace, my friend.
May God give you His peace that passes all understanding as you grieve the loss of Randy. We were good friends in high school, kept in touch on Facebook, and I just got to hug his neck last September at our 25th reunion. He was an intelligent, witty, caring, creative man who we all will miss very much.
Randy was one of the first employees I ever hired, 15 years ago. His passion for whatever he was doing was remarkable. He was the guy who 'danced as if no one was watching'. Even more so than his (wonderful) brothers. And I loved him for it. Miss you bro!
We are terribly sorry for your loss. Randy was a great guy. Your entire family are in our thoughts.
I will always remember Randall's smile and sense of humor. I had the opportunity to work with him; he always organized lunches so that we could all get to know each other. He would barbeque for 50 people and bring it to work for all to enjoy. A huge loss to our world, rest in peace.
Where to begin? Well I am very blessed to have had you as my high school sweetheart. We had so much fun together and still did throughout the years...I am glad I got to see you on Wednesday..I will never forget your hug and your kiss goodbye...My thoughts are prayers are with your Mom, Dad, Scott, and Eric. I love you Randy and will miss you very much! Love, Gina
