Friendships are sometimes boundaries you cannot explain. Moments in time that leave lifelong impressions. Vince was a best friend to my dad (lou-dawg) and to my mom. The connections that they had and the stories they told, I will always remember. Not for the substance but for the emotions Vince ignited into anyone who knew him. My parents always spoke amazingly of him and his family. I remember playing with the girls when my brother and I were a tiny tots (Page, Whitney, Dani)... running up and down stairs before bedtime and then going swimming the next day. Sharlene, a beautiful women, you welcomed me into your home in Gatlinburg a few years back with my dad.. You and Vince solidified the warmth and kindness I remember from Vince and was so happy to know you two were so amazing to one another and love each other so much. It was gentle but ever lasting. Thank you. MY thoughts and prayers go out to you Sharlene, Page, Whitney, Dani and close family/friends. He is a great Man, and will never be forgot by anyone who he touched even if for only a minute.

I had no idea that he was in such bad health. You know, Vince was very important to me and played a pivotal role in my life. He was painting shelves at the Goodlettsville Video Warehouse in October 1984, about a month before the grand opening when I walked in and told him that I was going to open my own video store and wanted to manage his store and learn the business. Vince was kind enough to hire me and mentor me. Most people might have discounted me as a nut or a potential competitor, but not Vince. He was very important to my success, which translated into a quality of life for my family for so many years. I’m sad that I never told him how much that meant to me. Please send his family my condolences.
Tom Donaldson Friend for 40 years, this is way we all feel
Vince was always a delight to get a call from: 'Hello Mr.Campbell'...That call took any work related stress away. I was never in a hurry to get off the phone. One of the best compliments that I can give someone is an old saying:'he is the type of man you could leave your wallet with'. Vince was the most trust worthy and honorable persons I have met. We will miss him dearly. Fred & Mary Ann Campbell
Even though I hadn't seen you in so long anytime I heard your name it would make me smile. Thanks for the many laughs we shared I always loved the short (but fun) visits over the last 36 years.

So saddened to hear of Vince's passing. We were fraternity brothers in college and the loss of his presence among those of us who were fortunate enough to have known him will always be felt. I pray that God grants you, his family, and the rest of us, his friends, the peace of knowing he has moved on to the Church Triumphant. Ed Edenfield, Baxter, TN
Aunt Sharlene and Bohannon Family. Vince was a dear uncle and I will miss the chats we had from time to time. As you know, he is a fascinating man. I feel honored to have known him and look forward to seeing him again some day in heaven.
You are in my thoughts and prayers!

It is difficult to put in words the respect that I have for Vince. Over the past two years we have shared our individual health notes, and talked a lot about life, family and God. Vince was one with God, and at peace with his life. As he put it, "I don't want to go, but if I have to, I am ready". We are all blessed to have had him in our lives. You are all in my prayers, and will continue to be. Hard to imagine that he and I have known each other for fifty years, but the times that we did have will be savored. God bless Vince, and God bless you all.

Dear Dani,Paige,Whitney,Sharlene and family. I am so thankful and feel blessed to have known Vince. I will always remember the way he treated me like family and was not afraid to say "I love you" to the people he cared about. I intend on living my life by this example. Much love, Patricia
I am sorry for your loss. I knew Vince in college. We were good friends but I lost tract of him, unfortunately, until now. His smile and laughter will be missed by all that knew him.
Words can't express my sadness for your loss. Your father was an inspiration and I was blessed to have known him. His spirit lives in each of you, and I know you lead your lives with love, respect, and gratitude due to the example he gave. I am here for him, and all of you. Always.
I never had the opportunity to meet Vince, but I have had the pleasure and joy of meeting and developing a precious friendship with his lovely daughter Whitney and her sweet family. I remember Whitney calling me, very distraught, over a year ago and saying, "Andy, the doctors say my dad has a couple of weeks to maybe 2 months to live." Well, doctors don't know everything and the Lord saw fit to give Vince and his family another year to build memories that will live on forever. Yes, the separation is painful and there is an emptiness that you think will never go away. And it won't, totally. But, Jesus PROMISED us comfort if we will but throw our cares on Him. Whitney, I recall our conversation when I asked you if you knew if your dad had ever made a decision to accept Christ as his Savior. You said you believed he had and that you were on your way to visit him and you were going to make a point of asking. When we next spoke, you said you had asked him and he said "yes", he had made that decision. So, your first comfort is in knowing that he is now with the Lord, seeing by sight what we left here can only see by faith. He is totally healed and happy beyond anything we can comprehend! In the days, weeks and months ahead, focus on all the wonderful memories you have of your dad. Let those memories draw you closer as a family and let your pain and emptiness draw you closer to Christ. He is faithful to take care of it all! Whitney, I love you and your family dearly - you have become very special people in my life. If there is ANY way I can serve you or your family, please allow me the privilege of doing so. To the rest of Vince's family, I love you guys as well and will be diligent to pray for your comfort and peace through Jesus, our Savior and the Author of EVERYTHING good. He loves you and wants to carry your burden - let Him. God bless you all.
P.S. Vince, say hi to my dad! He was a young man like you when he passed away at 60 over 22 year ago! Ya'll have some awesome grandkids to brag about!
You were my whole world dad. You inspired me. Encouraged me. Lead me. You were the toughest, bravest, strongest, most loving man I have and will ever know. What I wouldn't do to have you back healthy. I know in Heaven there are no tears. You are eternally engraved in my character, mind, and soul. Our bond will never fade as you live forever in my heart. I love you so very much dad.
Paige, Whitney, and Dani and to the whole Bohannon family, my heart is hurting for you right now. I am deeply saddened that Vince has passed. Paige - you and I had so much fun at your Dads house and we made tons of memories, I will never forget your Dad or those times. I love you all! Vince, would you please say hello to my Mother and give her a hug for me. God Bless.
Whitney...so sorry for your loss!
Page, Whitney, Dani, Sharlene and Family
I was deeply saddened by the passing of a Friend for more than 20 years. I worked for GVA. I was around when Vince opened the first store and the rest as they say is history. To building the strips with his stores in them. I'll also remember the building of the House and those changes he went through. We talked weekly back then ----- He was a great Businessman but was a better Family man when it came the girls

Sharlene, Page, Whitney, Dani, and family....Our hearts are sadden by the passing of a wonderful friend and an outstanding business man. His memory will live on forever here on earth and he will now live on for eternity in Heaven with our Lord. The last time I saw Vince (in Florida) he said something very important that I will never forget and I feel that it is important that you all know and remember this always....he said "I LOVE MY FAMILY" and that he did!!!! Our prayers are with each of you....Love, Carolyn and David Adcock Sr. Nashville, Tn.
