Renate was a wonderful friend. So kind and sweet and caring as well as funny and full of life. We enjoyed many happy years working together at F&N where our co-workers were like a big family and that is how I grew to feel like Renate was like a member of my family. I will miss Renate and will keep her and all of you, her beautiful family in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Renate, thank you for the friendship you shared with us for so many years (since 1968). Thank you for the week you and Hannelore spent with me and my family when I got married while living in California. Thank you for all the great lunches and get togethers we had with the ladies from Frederick and Nelson. Thank you for all the great photos you took at Vernon's wedding in Maui, letting my parents and aunt use your wonderful condo, and the time you spent with us during that wonderful week. Thank you for your wonderful smile and enthusiasm and the fun conversations you, my mother, and I used to have together. The last time I saw you, battling your cancer, you visited Vernon's house and showed us the video of the great house that you and Jerry were having completed in Hawaii. Not once did you feel sorry for yourself. You made the most of every moment that you had on this earth. You brought joy with you wherever you went, embodied strength, grace, faith, and a great love for your family and friends. I love you always and will miss you very much. Until we meet again! Renate was a sweet friend. I seldom heard her compain and her heart was always filled for those she knew was struggling. She loved her family and life. I will miss sitting with her on the back row at church and feeling the energy she had for life.
Heartfelt condolences from all of us back East - Trent's other Family. The Mablis and the Hardimans send love to all of you and remember Omi with deep love and affection. Rita and Patrick
Hank and I met Jerry and Renate when we lived near them on Maui. We became great friends and enjoyed paradise together for several years.
Her favorite times were when her children and grandchildren came to visit from the mainland.
She was a caring and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Though we didn't know Renate for many years, like many of you did, we always found her to be incredibly positive, warm, loving and giving, even in light of her struggles against this illness. It was inspirational to us and to many, we are sure. An amazingly strong woman who we truly admired and, more importantly, just enjoyed being around -- "Oh, my word!" Her smiles and laughter were always uplifting, magical and we know with surety that she is today in that perfect place in heaven, with no more pain or tears; watching over her family, friends and all, as one of God's special guardian angels. We wish Renate's family peace and hope in the future and you are in our prayers. Yvonne, it is an honor and joy to work with you in our little company, named for her and which will always keep Renate close at heart.

Omi was full of light, life, and love. She was kind and loving to all and in so many other ways emulated the Savior.
She passed away peaceably surrounded by those she loved. Having her children together with her was comforting not just because we were with her but because we were with each other. She always expressed such joy when she found out that we spent time with each other, even if it was only on the phone.
Our children loved her dearly. She will be missed but her influence will be felt for generations.
Mom, Suzanne and I love you more than words can express.
Yvonne,Trent and Nikki, I am so sorry for your loss.Your Mum, Yvonne, and your grandmother,Trent and Nikki ,was one heck of a woman. She always saw the cup half full and always had a smile on her face and a kind word on the tip of her tongue.I see her legacy in all of you! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I will treasure every day I had with you! Ich Liebe Dich, Mutti!
Thank you for welcoming me into this beautiful family, and for helping nurture Alex and Katie to know your grace, playfulness, and love. I'm so very grateful for the beautiful man you raised in Miki. Thank you also for capturing and preserving all the memories of our lives through cherished pictures, and the photo albums you offered us each Christmas. Your life has been an example and inspiration to us all. I love you and know you are happy!
Miki and Patti, Alex and Katie, thinking of you in this challenging time. Renate will be greatly missed - it was so fun to see how excited she was to be with you at church. She had a wonderful presence, a genuine joy in life, and a generosity of spirit. I loved talking to her because she made me feel like she was interested in me and she was happy and bright. We had several conversations about cancer and she never let it ruin her - she was amazing! You are in our thoughts and prayers. Lowe Family
Renate was the most beautiful, gracious lady I've ever met. Growing up, I wanted to be just her. My condolences to Rod, Yvonne, Heidi and Mikki, you were so fortunate to have such a wonderful Mother.
Thinking about you and your family during this painfully sad time.
I am so glad that I was able to meet your darling Mom.
Nicki, Trent, Lucy and I will miss you so much! You made us laugh to the end even though you were fighting a horrible cancer. You knew exactly how you wanted your exit to be.
You gave us the opportunity during the last few days to have priceless moments with you all together and alone. Perfectly orchestrated and organized just like every part of your life, including every drawer and cupboard. I will miss your unwavering support, love and encouragement. I am grateful that you will now be in no more pain.
Give Opa, Omi and Aunt Lori big hugs and Kisses.
I LOVE YOU forever! We will see you again.
