To the Adams family. I send hugs and prayers in these sad times. Yall were a big part of my childhood as Tim, Travis and I grew up together. Rick was an amazing person. I remember all the times I spent at your house and all the things I learned. Rick and Tim and Travis would pick me up to go to the shooting range or to church or even just to hang out. Rick will be greatly remembered in my heart and I will miss him. I pray that God wraps his arms around all of you and provides strength for you.

Love always,
Jamie Nixon

Dear Susan,
I"m sorry to hear of Rick's passing. Although I never met him, he sounds
like he was a wonderful person- he would have to have been for you to
love him. I know you will miss him greatly but you will see and be with
him again. I lost my husband last year on the 22nd of Nov.- I know
what you are going through at this time. Please contact me if you think
I could help in any way. Cindy Cox Young (Salt Lake City, Ut.)

To Susan, Theresa, Tim, and Travis. My love and prayers for you during this time. May our Lord hold you in his lap and surround you with a warm blanket of His comfort. Ricky was such a testimony of what it truly means to trust God in the fire. I am so thankful to have been a friend of his and to experience the love that he had for his precious Jesus. I know that when he entered the heavenly gate there was much rejoicing- I can't even fathom the joy among all th saints when he arrived- totally healed- I love you all so much. Love, Nora

Dear Susan,Theresa, Tim and Travis, The years may have kept us apart physically but prayer has always kept us connected. Thank-you for all the effort in keeping us connected in the blog and e-mails. Rick has left a legacy of faith and prayer with Jesus fingerprints all over it. He is truely rejoicing in the presence of our Lord Jesus. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you as you journey throught this growing time called grief. God is indeed faithful to all his promises even in your pain He will comfort and guide you. Please accept our deepest sympathy. Wish we could have been at the celebration of a life so well lived. We are only a phone call away. Love, Nina and Howard Swanson

Dear Family, I am forever grateful for the influence that Rick had on my Brian, who is a far more godly man than he could have thought. I'm wondering to whom Rick's mantle will pass... I love you all!

I am so blessed to have had Rick as my Father in law. I will truly miss him. He inspired me by the way he loved Christ, was an amazing prayer warrior, and studier of the word. Thank you Rick for accepting me and my girls when i married your daughter. You will forever hold a place in my heart.

Dear Susan, Tim and Travis,
We have been blessed to know you and Rick for a few short years. We will remember Rick as a man of prayer and a faithful friend. His stalwart testimony on the City Council was an encouragement in the days of our struggle over the National Day of Prayer controversy. May God surround all of you with His comfort and strength now and in the future.

We know Rick is happier than we are here on earth waiting to join him. I will always treasure the red Chinese stone necklace and earrings that Fred asked Rick to make for me. What is better is I will treasure Rick's smile, humbleness and love for us at church. I love you Susan and we will continue to pray for you.

A true brother in the Lord.

Dear Susan, Theresa, Tim, Travis and family,

Thank-you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to "share Rick" with you. As I have told many, I am a more whole person because of the Father's love he shared with me and mine. How I miss him but so thankful for our last hour conversation to say the things I wanted to and for us to pray together. What an incredible legacy of lives he touched and the wonderful family he leaves here to finish the work. I KNOW he is finally "home" and what an indecribible joy he is experiencing. Well done Rick!

Dear Susan and family we love you and are praying for you .
We will miss our Dear brother Ricky, but the legacy he left us is so rich. A man of prayer, a servant and a lover of Gods Word. A man after Gods heart. It is amazing to think of the friendship we have had for 35 years. 33 years ago Rick married us in Georgtown CO. Ricky is a dear friend who will be greatly missed as he faithfully stood in the gap in prayer.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

Susan, Tim and Travis,

I love you all so much.
I'm so sorry that you have to go through all these feelings of sadness. Your family has always been a second family to me and it is hard to be so far away at a time like this.
Tim - Your Dad's love for photography has been such an inspiration to me. I now take pictures myself and everytime I take out the camera and my kids run the other way saying "Aghhhhh! Mom has the camera again! HIDE!" I think of your Dad... :)
Rick was a beautiful person. I feel blessed to have been his "Cordelia".

He is so very loved and will be missed.

Dear Susan and Family,
I was sad for you and the rest of us to hear of Ricky's passing but, my next thoughts were "Wow he is where he always talked about being with excitement and that twinkle in his eyes, with his Savoir Jesus! He is probably dancing and singing and praising the Lord perfectly the way he wanted to here." I am praying for you that you can find comfort from the Holy Spirit and the Peace that Passes all UNDERSTANDING while you are going through this time of loss. His life and love for Jesus and you helped me to become the person in the Lord that I am today. He was a great witness and that will go on. I love you!
