Thinking of you at this difficult time. You are in our prayers.
Thinking of you at this sad time.
A memorial gift has been made to Bethel Church by Pat Kimball in memory of your son, Rick.
God's blessings on you,
Vickie told me of your loss. I know what it is like to lose a child and I wish it on no one. All I can do is keep you in my prayers. If you ever want to talk over coffee, I'm available any time.
As one mother to another I know your pain, but I also know how much family and friends help you bear it. I do think of you every day.
I have been thinking of you and hope you are doing okay. It's hard to deal with, losing a child but I know you have had to be strong. Hope life gets a little easier soon.

Because I am sad I was unable to attend Ricky's funeral, I've written a few thoughts I thought you might like to know.
Ricky was a pleasant amiable man that I really loved to visit with. He had a way of putting me at ease despite the stresses of life. We often enjoyed long conversations about different strategies for playing various internet games. (Ricky's "handle" was Blue Max from the 1980's Commodore 64 video game.) I will definitely miss spending leisure time with him in this way.
Shortly after getting my driver's license I bought a CB radio. This turned out to be a good choice for me because I could always jump on the CB and ask for "Blue Max" (also Ricky's CB handle). In a few minutes, I would be hearing from Ricky. We would talk about various things to pass the time. It was always comforting to talk to someone I knew and trusted while driving through unfamiliar places.
When I first began working with computers, Ricky was right beside me. We would head to the Tigard Goodwill and purchase old 486 computers. We would bring them home and configure them. Although these were low end computers, together we learned a lot about how they worked.
Ricky was very intelligent. As I was struggling in my initial college years, I recall envying Ricky's ability to look at a paragraph and improve it without giving it two thoughts. This same task might take me upwards of an hour to do. Often, if I found myself struggling with a specific word, I could ask Ricky for help and in a second, I woul have my answer -- and a good one.
Ricky will be missed but not forgotten. I only wish we had more time to spend together.
I can't thank you enough for all the help you did over winter with my car. That will always be a great memory for not only me, but my dad, mike and jason too.
You have always been a close uncle to me as well. We all miss you very much. Love you, RIP
Lindsay, Aunt Hellen, Mike, And Kristy,

May God bring you and your family peace and comfort with the sudden loss of your son.
God Bless your family.
