Dear Bill, We have been thinking of you and yours and are so sorry for your loss. Dick lived such a wonderful life and I remember he had a smile for everyone plus such a contagious laugh! God bless you and your family always.
Dick was a squadron mate with whom I shared many memorable moments...some a bit scary but most on the lighter side.
I last saw Dick at a squadron reunion a half dozen years ago where we were able to share experiences that will live with me to the end of my days.
Rest in peace, my friend, and don't forget to check your six from time to time.

Thank you, Dick, for your service to our country.
So sorry for your loss. We can't make it Bill but I am glad mom is coming. Our prayers are with you and your family.
An honor and great pleasure to have known Dick! Always a smile and laugh to accompany his quick wit. We thoroughly enjoyed our football games, stories and rivalries. Our love and prayers to Bill and all Cagles.

We have had the tremendous fortune of living next door to Bill and Dick for over twenty five years. We could not have been blessed with better neighbors. We always felt our home was safe when we were gone because it was "guarded" by a former marine. We will truly miss Dick and extend to Bill our love and sympathy.
Many of my favorite memories include Dick and Bill from all our travels in the Marine Corps. I was so happy when the Zapata Raiders let the "kids" start coming to their reunions. What a great gang to get to become a member of. As a kid I loved being around Dick and Bill and as an adult I grew to cherish their friendship. Larry and I will very much miss Dick and his incredible zest for life, family, and fun. Bill, we love you.
Dick had a great life. He was blessed with a loving wife and family and a successful career in the Marine Corps. He was well liked and highly respected as a officer and aviator. All who knew Dick will remember his friendship and will be so missed by all of us. Especially among the Zapata Raiders.

Mrs. Cagle, I will always remember my families trip to Hawaii and staying with your family back in the early 70s. Ya'll were wonderful hosts and friends to my parents. Mr. Cagle's laugh was infectious, very sorry to hear of his passing.
The world was safer, happier, and much more honorable, because Dick graced it with his presence... on land, on sea, and in the air...
