Dear Heard Family, Rita and I were classmates from Mound Elementary to Newark High. She was always the nicest person to me as a very shy boy in elementary and she encouraged me to talk to others and sing. I always credit her with opening up my world to communication. After 30 years in the Army and now working with helping military find jobs and, yes, even with Hospice and Nursing Homes and Children Cancer wards - The Hallelujah Balloon Brother - was being developed from a very pretty and wonderful Rita back in our Fourth Grade. As we know, we will never why she was brought back to Heaven, but we know where she is. My Sally and I send you our deepest condolences from South Korea where we will continue to honor her life by Helping Others in the Name of Jesus. Chris and Sally Vaia BRIDGER46@HOTMAIL.COM
As my best friend's mom, Mrs. Head never hesitated to open her home to me. Her kindness, warmth and generosity will not be forgotten.
To the Head and and Kern families. Rita was a special person to us and will be dearly missed, always kind and gentle-hearted and a pleasure to be around. I appreciate the time that I had to know her and assist her over the last few years.
Dear Bill, Brice, and Gretchen,
I am so very sorry for your loss, and so grateful to have known Rita (and all of you) back when you were on Queensview. Her unfailing warmth, kindness, generosity and encouragement brightened every day I visited your house. I pray you will all find peace and healing in the days ahead. Much love to you all.
Jim and I were sorry to learn of Rita's death. Our thougts and prayers are with you.
I'd like to share my deepest sympathy to the Head and Kern Families. Aunt Rita will always have a special place in our hearts. She was a loving and devoted Aunt to Amy and Wendy. We cherished our visits with her and I'm glad that our girls and nephews got to know her kindness and experience her bright personality!
Rita will be deeply missed for her love and guidance, her infectious laugh and sparkling eyes, her incredibly generous nature and simple kindness when it was needed but not asked for. She was my Aunt and my friend. She was a guiding light all of my life - sometimes in the background and sometimes in the forefront- but always there. I was blessed to have her in my life and the void she leaves behind cannot be filled.
My thoughts prayers are with the rest of those that loved her as well.
Bill and Bryce,
So sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Bill, Hazel and I extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family. We recall meeting Rita at one of Socrates Pappas' parties and enjoyed visiting with her.
Our deepest sympathy is extended to Rita's family, she was a beautiful person and will be greatly missed. We pray God will comfort all the family.

Rita with the brilliant smile, always there to lend a helping hand, a true servant of our Lord. Your luncheon pals will miss you, but you will never be forgotten.
I recall Rita from the days when Brice and Gretchen were in elementary school. She and Bill were such dedicated parents. What a wonderful legacy. May God support the family and friends at this time.
My heart and prayers are with all who knew and loved Rita. She was not only beautiful and elegant but also courageous and compassionate. She truly loved her family, her friends and her Faith. I am so blessed to have had Rita in my life, and I treasure our deep friendship.
Sending your entire family our prayers. Rita had a beautiful smile every time I saw her! She was a blessing to many and I know she will be missed. May God's peace be with you all.
Sending our deepest sympathy to the Head Family. I know Rita will be missed. I remember her as beautiful inside and out. I remember when my son was born, Rita's greatest concern was the dedication of Preston to Jesus Christ. She planted the seed for the salvation of my son and I will be forever grateful. I rejoice with the Angles for her life.
