Dr. Chalmers was a very special man, and I will miss him. He took care of me for many years, and was instrumental in getting me my new knee. He was a gentle, caring man, and the medical profession has lost one of their best. My prayers and thoughts to the family he loved so much, and spoke of often with me. We loved sharing stories about our children! With deepest sympathy, Bev Jacoby

Dear Ann and family,
I am so sorry you have lost such a great man. Working for Dr. Chalmers was an honor, I always felt we were a team. I feel so lucky to have had the experience of knowing him and your wonderful family. He was so proud of all of you. There is definitely a void now with him gone but the memories will always be there.
We will miss his beautiful singing voice and his cheerful, life affirming presence in our church. Heartfelt prayers of deepest sympathy for the entire Chalmers family.
I haven't seen you all in so many years, but i was so moved to read of Your loss. My thoughts Re with you.

To the Chalmers Family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for the passing of Dr. Chalmers. I had the honor and privilege of working with Dr. Chalmers in the O.R. at Los Gatos Community Hospital for 15 years. He was an excellent surgeon, and well respected by the nurses who worked with him in the O.R.

Dear Ann and your wonderful family, My deepest sympathy goes out to you all. I will miss my conversations with Rives through my many visits over the past 20 years! He was not just a Doctor to me, he became my friend
Rives was a much admired doctor and a cherished friend to three generations of my family. An extraordinary human being and the consummate gentleman, he healed our broken parts, regaled us with stories of his adventures, and spoke lovingly of his family to us, for 30 years.
I met with him several times just as he became ill and, as you would expect, his concern was for my small malady, not himself. His generosity of spirit is a shining example for all who knew him. Our lives are surely dimmed by his passing.
May God provide comfort to your family in your time of sorrow.
To Ann, Alex, John, Jennifer and all Rives' family and close friends, I extend my deepest sympathies. I was once a Jernigan, my daughters are Jernigans, and our memories and affection will always be linked with the Chalmers. Wishing you peace and comfort over the upcoming holidays, and an uplifting memorial gathering for Rives in January. What an extraordinary life of dedication and adventure he lived! ~With love, Joyce Cannon Fikkan
