Mr. Barber was the first face,( and a kind one at that) I seen on my first day of work (September 2,2011). I often wondered where he went after some time. Now that I know, I pray that His day would be a Homegoing! Welcoming Him Home!!! My prayers go out to the family, to just be strong and be encouraged. God will heal All Hearts. Bless You All. Don was a very good guy. I will miss you dearly.
To Mr. Barber's family,
I will miss his wonderful smile and Monday morning greeting when I came to work at the Children's Center. I will miss his smile at our state office as I entered the building too. He always asked me how I was doing and if I had a good weekend. I know that Mr. Barber has recieved his crown of glory from our Savior, Jesus Christ, now, though it may feel that he was taken too soon. He professed Him as his Savior openly. I know he also loved his church which he spoke of to me. He loved his children immensely and spoke of them often as well. My thoughts and prayers are for healing for his family. He will certainly be missed by me and the Region II Adoptions staff and many others at DSS. May God bless you.

Don will be missed by many @ DSS where he provided his services for many years. GOD bless and rest in peace.
Mr. Barber will truly be missed!!! He was the AM security officer where I am employed. It was such a joy to know this man, he gave the impression that he was tough and hard (that came with the job) but by the time I spoke to him and called him my buddy; there would come this big, big smile on his face. We often talked about our sons; they're close to the same age. From the time he's been out sick I would peep in the class door just hoping he would be sitting there. Oh my goodness, I'm going miss this man so much. The security desk will never be quite the same because truly there is no one like Mr. Barber.
Don was the security guard at the Dept of Social Services. I always enjoyed talking with him each morning. It is the small good things in life that really make each day a good day. Mike Givens
