I was very sad to hear of Bob's passing. He was a great friend to my husband, Henry Bell. They shared the love of Tulane baseball. He will be sadly missed. I'm sorry I was not able to attend the funeral.

Dear Bette, what sad news that your "big man" has left us. We think of you both often and speak of you up here in Virginia. You mentioned the possibility of coming to VA in the summer, and we had looked so forward to seeing you both. May the God of Heaven and Earth hold you near to His Big Heart and give you peace. Love and prayers to you and yours, Marcella and Family

We received the news of Mr. Bob's passing with deep sadness. He was a great friend of the April family for over 50 years. Miss Bette, condolence to you and the rest of the family. Memories of Kaiser Aluminum, Chalmette High Football, the Elphage Caillouette Club, Tulane Athletics and most prominently The Garden District Carnival Club will always be associated with Mr. Bob. A positive, kind and noble man has left a great mark on the world he leaves behind.

A true gentleman in every sense of the word. Remember mostly Big Bob and you Bette at the Tulane baseball games. A kind and generous man who made his mark in the world. Take care and comfort Bette knowing that our prayers and those of your family and friends are with you and Bob. Michael & Debra Fisher, Kenner.
