You've been gone a year today, Uncle Robert. I miss you so much, but am grateful to have had so many years with you. The lasting legacy of your special life stays with me. For that, I am also grateful. Say hi to everyone at Home. I love you - always.

Today would have been your eightieth birthday, Uncle Robert. I had so hoped we'd have been able to throw a big party for your eightieth. I even had a certain superheroes cake in mind for you! I hope you are having a big bash with all of the rest of the family who have gone Home. You are loved more than ever, and are very much missed. I miss your hugs and smile most of all. Happy birthday to you, with all of my love,

My fondest memory is his comic books and his Elvis collection. He would chase us younger kids when we would look at his comic books. Till we meet again.

I'll miss Robert asking, "Where are we going today?" I'll also miss his big smiles, laughs, and when he finished eating, "that was good!" or, finished his drink and would say, "dead duck!"

Robert's infectious smile will be missed so much by the ones that loved and cared for him. My memories of Robert when he was much younger are of him always happy and smiling, even when circumstances were difficult. May all who loved and cared for him be comforted by the memory of that wonderful smile!

I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to know you, Robert. My life is, by far, more enriched by the experience, and the world is a better place for having you occupy it. You were a very special individual who was placed in this world for a very definite purpose, teaching those whose lives you touched many, many things. A job well done and may you now rest in peace. It has been my privilege to be a part of your life and I will miss you greatly. Godspeed, my friend...

My dearest Uncle Robert,

I am going to miss you so much. You taught me so many things in life, especially about things that really matter, such as love, gratitude, appreciation, enjoying the simple things, not taking things for granted, and so much more.

Your life had a profound impact on so many; my life is but one of those many. I am so grateful to be your niece.

I said to you many times, "You're my favorite uncle, ever." The smile you would give me connected to that comment will be with me always. The hugs you shared with me, your laughter, your songs, your unique way of looking at things, and most of all, your love, will also be with me always. I hope you know you will always have my love as well... always have had, always will.

I so hate to see you go from this life, but knowing you are with Uncle Eugene, Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, and all the others, is some comfort. Knowing you will never be far from me is a comfort as well.

I know you will come to me when I need you. I will listen for you and look for you in the multitude of things that will always remind me me of you.

I love and treasure you, Robert; I will always carry you deep inside my heart.

With all my love,
