Anne & Family
Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. Your dad was such a great man. I have many fond memories of him and you at the club coming out for lunch, always with a smile etc.
If there is anything we can do for you, please let your friends at Wakonda know.
Anne & Craig, so sorry to hear about your Dad. I enjoyed visiting with him when we were all growing up together in CR. May God bless your family and keep you strong in these days. Take care of yourselves.
Craig, Anne and family. Jane and I were very fortunate to be dear friends with Bob and Nina for many years. You also were so lucky to have had them for parents---there were none better.
Rosie was my buddy in my start up of Keystone and so many matters and ways. I want to do all those things with him again in the place he and Nina are holding hands again.
Love to all of you, Bill and Jane Bergman
A trip to the Roseland house was always a special treat for me when I was growing up in Ames. The house was located in a beautiful wooded area that provided a wide expanse to explore with Robert's son, Craig. The two of us would spend all day in the woods hiking, climbing trees, wading in the creek, or crossing over the high wooden railroad trestle. Robert was always held in high regard by my Dad, who was a Beta Fraternity brother at the University of Iowa. Dad told me about Robert helping to build the Alaskan Highway, and how he flew B-17's in World War II. That was pretty cool stuff for an impressionable young boy.
I want to express my deepest sympathy to Craig and Anne and the grandchildren. My heart goes out to you. Although I only knew your Dad for a relatively short period of time before you moved from Ames, he left a big impression on me.
We have only known Bob for a little over a year at Deerfield. Bob had a difficult 1 year plus. He and my father were there together. They worked hard together to escape from the skilled care center. They are now together again and no longer suffering or trying to escape. May Bob now rest in peace. We have enjoyed knowing him and his daughter Ann.
Curt and I have such fun, fond memories of you, Nina and Kurt. We miss you all. May you all rest in peace, perhaps along Vermillion's sunny shore.
We lost such a good friend in Rosie. Cherishing the memories. Condolences to the Roseland family.
Love, "Crissie" Haines and families
We will always remember Bob's quick wit and smiling face at Deerfield. He was so kind and respectful with my mother. It's always hard to say goodbye to "family" but we know there is now another angel keeping watch over us all!
