Robert was a classmate; I am saddened to hear of his passing. I am thankful for his service to this country. My prayers are with the family; God bless you all.
Bob was my precious nephew, his mother being my only sibling. I have known and loved him since he was born. He grew up to be a kind, generous, funny man, although he wouldn't have wanted me to say that. It's hard to think of a world in which he isn't present. I will love and miss him always.
Nancy English Shumate (Aunt Nancy)

You and the entire family is in my thoughts and prayers.
Worked with Bob at DFW Air Traffic Control Tower. I will miss you. God bless you.
I graduated high school with Robert. He was a good friend.
Bob is my neighbor. He would sit outside in his driveway and keep an eye on things. I'm home during the day alone and I would look out to see if Bob was outside on "watch." I felt like I had a big brother looking out for me and that I could go to him if I needed him. My friend, your watch is over. RIP.
Bob and I worked together at NAS Whiting Field for a long time. We were very close friends, both in the tower and in our personal lives. We shared in the joy of starting out as fathers together. Men like Bob don't come around often. He will be dearly missed.
Bob you will be missed terribly. RIP my brother in arms.
Bob was my supervisor at NAS Whiting Field, coworker at Kalamazoo and good friend. You would be hard pressed to find someone with a kinder heart. All of us that knew Bob over the years are stunned at his loss. Our prayers go out to the family. God must have needed a good controller because he drafted a great one. Fair winds and following seas Robert.
Bob, memories of our short time together at Whiting Field will always be among my favorite - from working the traffic to playing softball - we had great times. You will be sorely missed, brother.

Donna, our condolences. We knew Bob every Friday from the VFW and we met you a couple of times at special events. I was another Navy shipmate and we had some great times swapping sea stories and laughing. He is truly one of the good ones. We are going to miss him and his smile.
