Rest in peace Uncle Bob. I will always keep your generous spirit close to my heart. For 20 years you reached across the miles with conversation and appreciation of my art - allowing me to be your niece. Thank you!
Bob and I were roommates in Vietnam during l968-69 - became close friends and remained so through out the years. I consider Bob my best friend. He was a true gentlement and
trusted friend to many. I will miss him greatly.

Bob was a one of a kind man from the Greatest Generation. He set the bar high for himself and the rest of us who he loved and inspired. May those of us who were blessed to know him, his wife, Joyce, and his daughter, Selia always remember his sense of duty to his country, his family, and most of all to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a better person for having had his friendship and him being a second dad to me during my lifetime.
May God Bless you and all your family through these painful transition times. We who have said goodbye to our Grand Pa and Dad, hold you dearly and tenderly in a long embrace. We knew your Grand Pa by the beautiful words with which you described him and the love that shined in your eyes whenever you talked about him. May God bring peace to your heart, as He did to ours, while we patiently wait to meet them again in due time.
We were so sorry to hear about the death of a dear beloved friend. He will be so missed. Knowing he is with the love of his life, Joyce, brings great comfort. Our prayers are with Selia and the family.
May Bob rest in peace. I can remember the days at old TEXAS Stadium with the GP Evening Lions club. Bob was always there and working hard to make moneys for our projects. Bob/Judy Howard
COL Waggener was a true gentleman and professional officer. He was a wonderful role model for the officers and enlisted soldiers who received training at Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN. There's an old saying that "I would rather SEE a sermon than HEAR one." COL Waggener's leadership and service were great "snapshots" of the Army values that underlie what it means to be a soldier. May he rest in peace and may our Heavenly Father grant comfort and solice to all who knew and loved COL Waggener.
Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel - Retired) Hershel Don Yancey
There is no greater honor than to have served under Col. Waggener's leadership and command. He helped us to become more than we ever dreamed we could be. He was a great leader and an even greater man. Most of all, he was the greatest friend a person could have. He will be sorely missed. May Col. Waggener rest in the arms of our Lord forever.
So many wonderful memories of the 20 plus years I have known Uncle Bob and Joyce. How blessed to have had them both in my life ~ loved them dearly and cherish all the special times we spent together....
Colonel Bob Waggener and I have been friends for over 30 years. He was a combat Veteran who served longer than most of us. I never knew Bob to not have a smile, especially when we were working on something that seemed to defy logical solution. He was a compassionate man whose love of country was second only to his love of his family. We will all miss him terribly but now he is once again with the woman whom he loved so much and with whom he shared this life. You are in my prayers.
May Colonel Waggener rest in peace as we celebrate his life and service to our country. I'm proud to be related to this awesome man. God bless his children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter along with numerous nieces and nephews. May his legacy inspire others to live their lives accordingly.
Bob, will be dearly missed by so many friends and family. I am so proud to have known him and to have worked with him on our Waggener family history. He was a kind and considerate person to us all.
Grief can be so hard during the holidays, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one this holiday season.
