Les, Dan, Christy, Larry, Dwight and families,
Our deepest sympathy in the sudden loss of your beloved Rozella. She was always so happpy to see everyone when we got together at family reunions. Such a complete joy to know and be around. (As I think of her now, I can hear her laughter) We know you will miss her deeply and we are keeping all of you in our prayers.
Dear Les, Dan, & Christy,
Terence & I were so saddened to hear of Rozella's passing. I have such wonderful memories of the many times I spent with her & how much fun she always was. What first comes to mind is the year she & I co-chaired the Childs School Carnival. We searched far & wide for the goodies we made available as prizes for the kids. We laughed ourselves silly with some of the things we found. I'm so grateful, too, for her having lined us up with Myrtha for our piano lessons. Remember those recitals!! Rozella will always hold a special place in my heart.
Love & Blessings, Diane & Terence Thayer
Les, Gail and I are remembering you and your family in our prayers on a daily basis. Reading the tribute to your wife touched my heart. The loss and pain you must feel are incalculable. We are crying with you, but at the same time, rejoicing in the fact that you have so many precious memories. If there is anything I can do to lighten your load at this most difficult time, please don't hesitate to ask. I appreciate you so very much. May God comfort you and your family.
Dear Les and family
We cannot find the words to explain how saddened we are about your loss. And wish there was a way to lessen the pain and sorrow you are experiencing.... Please know that we are thinking of you..Jan and Skip Broomfield
Les, Dan and Christy, My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you mourn the loss of Rozella. I never thought that our visit at the class reunion would be our last. Rozella was a very good friend of mine during our high school days as well as through the years. She was always a genuine person and so much fun. Sorry I wasn't able to make it to the funeral.
The pictures showed the many good times you were able to share and cherish forever.
Thoughts and prayers,
Carole Holliday, Harrison, Ohio
Dear Les and family,
I am so very sorry to hear about Rozella. I hope your many wonderful memories will help you through this difficult time. I am thinking and praying for all of you. Much love, Julie Head
Rozella was the love of my life. I met her on a blind date April 12, 1963 and fell in love with her immediately. We dated for three years during college, and after taking her to the movie "Sound of Music" I proposed to her and she accepted. I was elated. With each passing year, I loved her more. She was a fantastic mother, a world-class grandmother, and a wonderful wife. We went through life doing everything together and always holding hands wherever we went. She was the one person our entire family relied on for strength, wisdom, guidance, caring, and love. I truly believe I was blessed with a storybook marriage. I will love her for all eternity.
Les & Family:
The life story that appeared in the HT about Rozella is beautiful and touching. She was obviously a wonderful wife, mother, and person. Our very best wishes in this difficult time to you all.

Dear Les, Dan, and Christy,
I do not know how you deal with the sadness of missing someone so very special. Rosella was such a genuinely warm, welcoming, and loving person. She had so much positive energy that is was a joy to be around here. You all gave her so much love, just as she gave to you. What a wonderful family you are. She will always be a part of you, and I know you have wonderful memories to cherish.
May you find peace in those memories. Sorry, I am out of state and cannot be there to honor Rozella on Monday. Most sincerely, Peggy Hite
Dear Les, Dan, and Christy,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of your beloved wife and mother. Rozella was one of the most gracious and warm people that I have ever met. Although I did not see her frequently, she always sought me out at faculty events to ask how I was and catch up with me. It seemed like she coiuld simply pick up where our conversation had left off many months prior. She had the ability to make everyone she met feel special and cared for. I also know from working with all three of you that she was a wonderful wife and mother. I know that her passing has left a hole in your family that can't be filled, but I hope the wonderful memories that she created with all of you will help you through this difficult time.
Brenda and I have known you and Rozella for 33 years. The support from you and Rozella toward me and Brenda since our first days in Bloomington have meant the world to us. We will always remember Rozella as being warm, compassionate, and friendly. We will greatly miss her. Our hearts and prayers go out to you in this very difficult time.
Our very best wishes to you and your family.
Jerry and Brenda Stern
Dear Les, Christy, and Dan,
I only met Rozella a handful of times, yet I loved her instantly. She was a bright light, giving, caring, and so kind. She will always be remembered fondly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.
Our prayers and blessings for healing go out to you Les and your entire family at this tremendous loss. Rozella truly was a nice person and obviously so very dear to each and every one of you. We can only imagine the pain of your loss.

To Rozella's family, I'm sure you will miss her, for she was a lovely person. Our class of 62 was fortunate to see Rozella at our 50th class reunion, she willl be missed by all of us. Our prayers are with you.
Les and Family, We will certainly be with you to mourn this great loss, but we will also join the celebration of Rozella's new life. God certainly took one of our best. Rozella was always the first person I'd look for at every Grubbs' reunion. I was always disappointed when you two wouldn't make it. What a great model she was for how to live life to the fullest. Blessings to you all. -Rodney & Karen Grubbs
Mr. Heitger, I had the pleasure of meeting you and your wife on a few of your visits to Tallahassee, and I came to know much about your family in the years I worked with Christy. I was always struck by the love I witnessed and the closeness I heard about every time Christy talked about her adventures with the family...a closeness cultivated by you and your charming wife. I was so saddened by the news of your wife's passing and extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family. Nothing I can say will ease your pain, but I pray God will provide you strength and comfort in the cherished memories of the wonderful life you shared.
I love you more than words can say. I will forever miss your voice, your smile, your hugs, and your advice. You and Dad taught me how to be a compassionate, generous, loving, forgiving parent. I ache in a way I never thought possible, but I'm comforted by the knowledge that you are in Heaven, feeling no pain, no sadness, no guilt, and no hurt. You deserve the very best. So enjoy the happy reunion with Grandma and Grandpa and all of our furry pets. I will love you always and forever, Mom. And I promise that Dan, the grandkids, and I will love and hug on Dad every single day of his life until the day he is reunited with you--the love and light of his life. xoxoxo Love, Christy
My love and heartfelt prayers to you and your family on the passing of your cherished wife, Rozella. May God grant you all the strength necessary to get through this most difficult time in your lives through Christ our Lord.
I never knew that Rozella and I shared the same birthday. She and I were
in the same graduating class at William H Harrison. The photo gallery showed what a great life she had. My prayers go out to all the family. Janice Sexton Cox
Dear Les, Dan, Christy, and families,
Rozella was the first person to greet us when we moved into Arden Place in Bloomington, IN. The van hadn't even left before she was there with the kids and cookies. It was fun being your neighbors---storing Christmas presents and being invited to your house fire. There was never a dull moment.
We were very sad to hear of Rozella's sudden passing, and want you all to know that you have our deepest sympathy. You are in our thoughts and prayers now and in the days to come.
Love, Sandy and Brad
Dear Les and family, It's been many, many years since I last saw Rozella, but I still remember summer days at the lake, fun in the sun, and most of all, Rozella's smiling, tan face - always welcoming and always giving. You are all in my thoughts. Love, Alison Gillings
Our deepest sympathies to you and your family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
