We are so sorry for your loss. My parents and siblings have often what happened to our good neighbors from dixie Valley. Looks like Sal took good care of you all. I miss the singing that went on in your house. We hope you know he is watching over you and that your memories and the little things he did for you will give you peace. Keep singing its a lost blessing that keeps families together. Tammy (Checketts) Ewell

Way back in the 1940s I was a member of Boy Scout Troop 112 in Copperfield and was fortunate to know Chinky and his brothers and sisters for many years. He was a good man. The world would be far better off if there were many more like him. After losing track of him for a long while - especially while he was in California - it was a pleasure to see him again and to talk to him over the phone in the last three or four years. He wrote a couple of stories about experiences with Troop 112 and the old Scout Bus that were fortunately included in my book about Copperfield. From start to finish Chinky was a great friend. His family and brother and sisters have many reasons to be proud of him. I wish you all the best.
Our prayers go out to the Aguayo family. Sal was always a pleasure to talk to. We got to live with Sal and Melinda for a short while and he was warm hearted and such a blessing to get to know. We loved listening to his storys. Sal always made us feel like part of the family. He will be missed. God bless you all.
Sal was such a warm, wonderful and gentle man. Being around him you always felt better, you felt his peace and it easily rubbed off on everyone. Life is such a gift that God has given us, and Sal recognized this and did God's work is such awesome ways. How lucky each and every one of you were to have him in your life as family...you have been truly blessed. My prayers are with you, I am so sorry for your loss.
I PRAY FOR PAPA TO BE IN THE BLOSSOM OF THE LORD.
I'm truly going to miss the all the laughs we had together. Hearing all the stories you had to tell and even the songs you would sing. You were a great man. I was blessed enough to have you in my life. You taught me many things that I hope to pass on to my children when the time comes.
I Love You Grandpa!
As Valarie's friend, I always remember her dad being happy and supportive. He even made each of us turquoise rings. I will always remember him.
GRANDPA JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT IMMA MISS U .... LOVE YOU GRNADPA
LOVE ALWAYS TRISH, LAURRIE, AND FAMILY
The most wonderful fun memories was me and my sisters sitting around playing Yahtzee and drinking blue margarita's and laughing till we were crying,My Father was a very wise man. and loved life. He also touched so many every day his kindness and open door to those in need was beyond compare.I love and miss you Papa
Sal will definitely be a missed man but a man who I agree has earned his place next to God in heaven. I will never forget the open arms and hospitality that Sal and his wife Melinda bestowed on my family when I was homeless years back and allowed my son to stay at their house and even helped to buy him clothes. Sal and his family have been like a second family to me and for that I will be forever greatful. Rest in Peace Sal you deserve it.
"Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones shines down to let us know they are still with us." May the light of his love comfort you always. Karen Partow (Oxnard, CA)
We had the best memories and family fun sitting around the table playing Yahtzee and drinking blue margarita's.You are everyones Hero Papa I love and miss you so very much.
My daddy was the most handsome, beautiful spirit, smartest, most amazing hero a little girl could have. I am going to miss his voice, his counsel, his presence in my life. His influence lives on in me and my children. I hope that I can be half the parent and human being he was. Love you Daddy!
To the family of Salvador Aguayo, words cannot even begin to express my sorrow
