Sam, a good and honorable man who had a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face every time I saw him. His life was spent doing good for others and protecting our country, never asking for anything in return. He saw people as equals and treated them with respect. You could see Sam loved his wife, Sandi and Sandi loved Sam. And now, Sam will be helping our Heavenly Father watch over her and his family...with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face.

Aloha Sandi, I was so very sad to hear of Kamuela's passing. He was my boss at OHA and a few of us who are still at OHA paused to remember this kind and generous soul who we sere so blessed to know. The day of Kamuela's service at Punchbowl was also the day of the OHA Investiture, so we were doubly sad that we could not make it to pay our respects. I am so thankful to have known your wonderful husband. I trust this message helps you during this time. I can see Punchbowl from my home and will make it a point to visit his final resting place soon. In the meantime, please accept my deepest condolences. Embracing you with aloha and prayers ...
