Faye, Phil, Dawn, Jeff and Paige,
So sad to hear this news! Always loved being around Ray! Full of stories and would always have me laughing!! I last saw him several years ago at the Bham airport and we chatted for quite awhile waiting on our planes. It was like we'd seen each other last week. A special man and father. Will be thinking of you all. Much love to you!
I only knew you as Poppy as that is what Sheree always called you. She worshiped you and the few times that I was able to spend with you and your family I can certainly see why. I don't know what she is going to do with herself now that she won't be spending time with you, but I know she will miss you for the rest of her life. My prayers are with her and the family and I know that you are looking down on them from heaven and smiling. May God always be by your side Poppy!
My thoughts and Prayers to your family. Many years have passed since I met your family. Worked at JC Penny salon when your mom was there. and Phillip remembering some funny times way back!
Faye, we were certainly sad to learn about Ray, and we pray for you and all of your family.

I want to say many things about my Dad, he was loving, kind, smart, God fearing and loved life to the fullest. Every day I spent with him was a blessing, he endured many obsticles in his life and believed that everyday he was here with his family and friends was a true blessing. He always had a smile on his face even if he was not feeling well he would still tell a joke that would crack me up. I have heard all the stories from his childhood, when he was in the service during WWII serving in the 69th Infantry of the US Army. He and my mom traveled all over the world and enjoyed life to the fullest. He made us all laugh until we cried sometimes. His sense of humor was as remarkable as his memory of years ago. I only wish I had many more years with him but I know he is resting and not in pain. He loved life and his family and friends more than anything. We will miss you Poppy and we will continue on as you always wanted us to do but you are in my thoughts everyday of my life....Love your oldest daughter Sheree Dawn Posey Mitchell
