Selma & I were childhood friends. We were neighbors and school mates. We started in the first grade together and remained close friends until our gradation from High School. She went her way and of course I went mine. We married and started our families. She was a very intelligent person and her love of History was very evident. I am so glad she was a part of my life.

My deepest sympathies to you. Selma and I met at Glades Jr. High School, as 'baby teachers.' We were friends from then on. I am sorry that moving to Houston, Texas, put such distance between us.
She was a warm, caring, bright person, with an incredible love and knowledge of history. I wish that I could be there to give y'all a hug.
Thinking of you,

My deepest condolences to Selma's family. She was one of my favorite teachers at Glades Jr. High. Our paths crossed again when I worked for her son Dr. Mark Baum. She was a lovely woman and will be missed.

Sincerely,
Deannie Farwell
