To me, Sheila was the very definition of beauty. She exuded it and surrounded herself with it. She created it and shared it with all. She taught me a great deal about how to search for the beauty in all things regardless of my circumstances. It is a lesson that I took to heart and will always remember.

Unpretentious and charming, with a smile that could truly lift your spirits. How blessed am I to have shared my brief time with her!

Sheila meant so much to our family. I never got to meet her, but greatly enjoyed our 'mom talk' via email. It was easy to see what a terrific person she was. And we appreciate immensely how caring she was of our 'boys'! She is gone too soon, yet she accomplished so much. She will be missed by all of us. Best wishes to her family. Jeff & family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss of Sheila. I was a friend of Sheila's in junior high & high school. I have alot of fond memories of Sheila. As kids we had alot of great sleep overs and parties. I lost touch with Sheila over the years but thought of her often. She sounds like she had a great life & her volunteering sounds like many benefited from her. At 53, Sheila helped, shared, cared, taught, lived, loved, and accomplished more ,
then most do, if they lived to be 100. Now she is at rest.
She will live forever in the hearts of your family.

To the Chapman and Rivin families:
I was so shocked and saddened to read about Sheila's untimely death. Growing up in Sioux City, I always thought Sheila was so sweet and beautiful. I always loved when she would come to our home and visit my older sister, Della. What a wonderful legacy she has left. May she rest in everlasting peace.
