I just found out through the Military Officer magazine that Sid passed away. Sid was a life long friend of my family. I met Sid in 1950 as he was my parents next door neighbor in Roswell NM. I hadn't seen Sid in years but I kept up with him through my father who passed away 2 years ago. Sid was an important person in my life growing up and I have so many fond memories of him.
We have a lot of respect for Mr. Ward. He was a very sincere man with a lot of character. I enjoyed being around him. I gained a world of knowledge just being around him, talking & listening to him. He was a man's man.
Our prayers & thoughts are with you & family.
