So sad to hear of Steve's passing. My condolences to his family. I worked on numerous industry issues over 20 years with Steve and always appreciated his comments, suggestions and humor. A truly great man has been called home.
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Linda,I saw Stephen often at various gatherings. He was obviously a brilliant guy but possessed a great sense of humor and was always a gentleman. Please accept my most sincere condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
We were so saddened and shocked to hear the passing of Steven. He was a high school classmate of my sister, however, I knew him well being a year older. Although Steve accomplished so many Highly Distinguished Awards in his short life, he would come back to his alumni where he grew up, graduated high school, and be a kid again from our small town. We send our most sincere condolences to his entire family. He loved and was loved.
Dear Linda & family,
My heart is broken over Steve's death. Praying for you and yours.
Steve was such a quality guy! Steve suffered such a premature death, but he lived a life that hardly could be surpassed. Steve will be greatly missed by a very loving family and very many friends.
Was a real shock to learn of Steve's passing. Steve and I were really unusual Birds flocking together--We both are from Mangum, Phi Gams (OU FIJIS) and both lawyers. My condolences to you, Jimmy, and your wonderful family . So long friend.

My memory of Steve is forever entwined with his wife Linda and the gracious welcome they provided for my husband and I when interviewing and eventually relocating to Oklahoma City to work for American Fidelity. Steve was ever the quiet consumate professional while Linda provided her delightful outlook-together they were THE REASON we joined our "family" at AFA. Linda, I can't begin to imagine the pain of losing a life partner but I know Steve's quiet strength and that of our Lord will guide you through your darkest moments.
Trust in the God of all comfort to sustain you to endure your loss (Psalms 55:11)
I am still in shock over the news of my dear friend and colleague, Steve. I am thankful to have been his friend for over 30 years and I am richer for that friendship and association.
A terrible loss of a decades long friend and a sincerely shared hurt for the family. My very best to you as we all weather the passing of a wonderful guy.
I meet Stephen when I had my office at 2000 Classen where he worked. I met Stemphen from a life long friendship with his father. Stephen, you did your duties well. May you rest in peace forever. Jim Grennan, Oklahoma City.
Steve was a great lawyer and friend and he will be missed. He was a consummate professional with a warm regard for people.
We were shocked and saddened to hear of Steve's passing. He was a special person who will be sorely missed by the community and all who knew and loved him. God bless you all.

I will miss our conversations and visits at the Northside Y. Rest in Peace.
I have many memories of Steve throughout my childhood and beyond, and there are two that stand out distinctly... When I visited my dad and stepmom a couple of years ago and decided very spontaneously to move back to OKC to be close to them, on my return flight to my home in AZ, I just happened to see Steve on my plane. We sat next to each other and he spent the entire two hours making a list of potential networking contacts so that I could find a job and move back home to OK. He was amazing to jump in and help me like that and I will never forget it. I also will never forget the times I sat next to him at Rotary and he made side jokes during the presentations till I was laughing to tears. I loved his sense of humor. Rotary will never be the same.
You, my dear brother, will be greatly missed by many, many people. You accomplished much in your life. Give Mom a hug for me.
Your little sister, Susan (Oklahoma City Chapter of the Garrett family)
Uncle Steve will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He was a charitable, kind, loving man, and he was an inspiration to all of our family near and far. I travel frequently and often would glance around whatever airport I was in, half-expecting to see Uncle Steve breezing through. My sincerest condolences to Aunt Linda, Braden, Lizanne, and Marion, along with your spouses and kids. -Love, Nedra and Ryan
