Dear Mitchell and Sandra:
Today I happened to search the obituaries in the Commercial Appeal, looking for a friend of mine who had died, and I came across a name that I recognized immediately. Sure enough, it was your lovely mother. I am very sorry to hear that she passed away but relieved to know she had a full life.
We lived in Memphis in the 60s and your father worked with my mother, Alicia, at Lowenstein's. She barely spoke English and, and as her boss, he was very good to her. She was forever grateful.
I remember my parents invited the four of you to dinner at home and the two families got along beautifully. Going through the video in this site, I recognized at once a photo my father took of the four of you looking wonderful on a winter day in front of our home. It brought back a lot of memories of friends from the past and happy times.
My parents left Memphis in 1968, moved to Georgia and, lastly, returned to Miami in 1974 to be with the rest of the family. Father passed away in 2001 and Mother in 2007.
We reminisced often about our years in Memphis and remembered you and your parents fondly every time we saw those photos in the family album.
I called my sister Josie to give her the news. We both send you our deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. She left in us the memory of a sweet, warm and kind woman.

So sorry for your loss. Please remember the God of all comfort and that you can always look to him for answers.
I just love the pictures, They bring back so many memories. I'm so sorry for your lost. Aunt Thelma always had the sweetest spirit. I never heard her raise her voice. One time she let me play with all of Sandra's toys. Sandra never let me play in her room and would get so mad about it, but when Sandra was gone, I got to play in her room. Then me and Aunt Thelma would put everything back just like it was. Mitchells room was scary.
