Terri, Chuck, Handy, Chase and other family members of Mrs. Avery: My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Mr. and Mrs. Avery were wonderful neighbors to me for many years and while my heart hurts for each of you, I am SOOO happy that they are together again and holding hands like they did on the front porch of their sweet home EVERY day!

Dear Avery Family,
I came to know your mother twenty -five years ago when I was a volunteer at West Alabama Rehabilitation Center and assisting her in planning the Mall Ball. She reflected those rare attributes of both inner and outer beauty and a self-less spirt of God's love for others.
During a difficult loss, she wrote the most beautiful note of encouragement and concern which I have kept all these many years. She will remain in my heart always as very special friend who cared not only for me but many others throughout the Tuscaloosa community.
May God's peace be with you all.

To Theresa's family:
I regret very much I am unable to be present in person for the celebration of Theresa's life, talent, beauty and faith. We were friends for almost all our lives. I remember her gratefully today, and all of you are in my prayers.

Terri,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of grief and loss. Your mother was always so beautiful inside and out with her sweet smile, voice and sparkling eyes when I would see her on Sundays at First Baptist. God bless you at this time.

Handy,
I can not remember the time I did not know you and your family. I have had contact with you mother over the years from our youth and found a most loving and beautiful person inwardly and out. Please accept my condolences in this time of personal trial, but remember you will see her and you dad again.
Your Friend in Christ

Theresa and my mother became friends at Merrill Gardens. We both enjoyed our visits with her and considered it a pleasure in knowing her. Such a sweet and thoughtful person. May your memories of her bring you comfort.

To Handy, Elaine, Terri $ Chuck,
I just want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. It is never easy to lose a loved one, but it is such a blessing to know that Theresa is now in Heaven where there is no more pain and suffering. She was truly an amazing person and I am so grateful she was with us at Hospice of West Alabama during her final days. Just hold on to the thought that you all will see her again and what a blessing it will be.

Theresa was my sister and almost a mother to me as I grew up. I can never say how valuable that she was to my personal and spiritual growth. I loved her dearly and look forward to seeing her and Elton and our family in Heaven.
She was a wonderful sister!
