Kay,
Dot wrote me Christmas that she had just learned of Tommy's death and we were both so shocked to hear the news. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family at this time and I know from all the losses we have had in my family that God is able to sustain you and give you strength through the coming days. My thoughts and prayers go out for you and if there is anything I can do for you or you just want to talk sometime, email me at arlebrown@yahoo.com
You both were special to me in school and I remember going by your house and picking up Tommy's letters to you at lunchtime when he was at UGA. You just could not wait until you got home to read them so I got them delivered a little faster to you. We had a lot of fond memories in school together and I will always cherrish our friendship.

Kay & Girls,
It was so good to hear Friday night's service for Tom was such a celebration of his life. It is easy to have great memories and stories about a man as good as Tom. I was at the state convention for NCHBA, and there was a lot of support and love shown for Tom there. Everyone remembers how much fun he has and how much he supports our industry.
Im so glad my family met Tom so we have some memories to share here, too. I feel like I know you because of Tom's stories and all the loving references he made to you "girls."
Tom told me to "be tough" once, when he thought I was behaving a bit too sympathetically for good business...but I never forgot it. He was a coach who knew how to get through to each member of his team. Tom wanted us to be tough, but we love him because he was so tender and devoted to his family, work and everything he did.
I know God is devoted to you all and called Tom home because He is so good and merciful. Peace be with each of you.

Dear Kay and family,
Tom was a special person. He cared for everyone he came in contact with and served God in helping and providing growth opportunities for others as he did for me in the early years of my career. He was a special friend and mentor. His humor, enthusiasm and positive outlook were always uplifting.
God bless all of you.

Thank you for sharing a most special person with us at 2-10 HBW. Tom hired me and gave me a chance to change my life. He continued to mentor and encourage me for more than 16 years. The pet nicknames he liked to give people really made you feel special. Tom gave so much, and helped so many people. May the Lord be with you always and give you peace.

I worked with Tom for several years at 2-10 and I enjoyed his sense of humor and admired his "spunk" very much. He treated everyone who worked with or for him with respect, honesty, and dignity. He was just plain fun to be around and was the definition of a true gentleman. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Dear Mrs. Acree & Family,

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to your family. I had the great opprtunity to meet and work with Tom at 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. He was such a fun, happy person to be around and always offered great leadership. He and I would visit over and over about the possibility that we were somehow related as my Grandmother's maiden name was also "Acree". Although we never did figure that out, I would be honored to be related. He will be very missed.
